With the Blackberry simplicity is all internet routed via the BIS (server), if so this would not be of use to any non Blackberry user.
Sorry not sure on the technology but know you have to have a subscription to BIS to make Blackberry do push email.0 -

Hopefully the price of the phones will be released before its too late!
Welcome to O2 live chat. Someone will start chatting with you soon.
You're through to Chris.
Chris: Hi there. My name's Chris I am an O2 advisor, may I take your name please?
You: Hi, my name is Tim
Chris: Welcome to O2. What brings you here today?
You: I am looking at getting a Simplicity for iPhone 12 month deal. If I get this now, and in a months time buy an new iPhone 4 (not on contract), would you send me a new microsim for the iPhone 4 which would work on my exisiting Simplicity deal?
Chris: Yes if you get the new iPhone you will just need to call us and request a new sim card, we will then put your current plan on the new micro sim and keep you on that.
Chris: Does that work for you?
You: So in other words, I wouldnt lose the unlimited data that the current deal allows, before going down to 500MB on new contracts from 24th June?
Chris: No, I would advise you take the contract today so that you get to keep your unlimited internet on the new sim
You: Thanks, thats great
sorry to be thick how do you get onto live chat i cant seem to find it?What goes around-comes around0 -

Has anyone looked at the Tesco iPhone packages? IIRC they have one year contracts, SIM only and PAYG - for the 3GS they are Martin's best buy. It is only costing me £540 for the handset plus one year minutes/ texts/ data.
All comes doen to pricing, Had a walk round town today whislt waiting on Boots and a prescription (I needed more Hayfever tablers hence why the suns gone away and it's been gloomy in the week it's taken for the appointment to come up).
All the mobile providers say they won't klnow anything till Monday, and I guess it's jsut a wait till then.
AFAIK Tesco haven't announced anything about it other than they may get it.0 -

I want to buy the Iphone 4 when it is launched and I signed up for monthly simplicity back in March before the last change in tariffs. I don't want to really lose the unlimited data subject to fair use so I just wanted to check because I am not on the iphone simplicity do I need to change over to that tariff and should I now be signing up for 12 months or does my unlimited data remain because of the rolling contract.
Sorry if this has all been asked before but I am easily confused and I don't want to do the wrong thing.0 -
what I don't understand is why they're cutting contract customers unlimited web to 500MB, but allowing Sim only customers unlimited.0

Does this seem like a plausible, and possible option?
I note that you can still buy the Simplicity sim with unlimited data, no?
My current £45 tariff on my iPhone 3g (heavily subsidised to £31/month through the original O2 Open offer, which no longer exists in that form and will expire with my contract) ends in September.
I am debating ordering a £20 iPhone Simplicity SIM now while you can still get it with the unlimited data, and then buying the iPhone 4 outright and transferring the Simplicity SIM to it. I would end up paying two tariffs for two months, but that is no more expensive than buying out my current contract at £20 a month and paying a more expensive contract! I might have to change my mobile number, but hey ho . . . Plus, I think the normal early upgrade offer says you cannot combine it with any other offer, whereas if I pick up a Simplicity SIM tomorrow, I can get a £100 credit with the current O2 Open code. I worked out that the normal upgrade route would cost me about £1080 over two years (guestimating the cost of the phone obviously), whereas taking the Simplicity option would cost me about £880 over the same period . . .
So if this is possible, I would get to keep unlimited data and unlimited texts etc. Would this work, or do O2 have it in their T&C that they can change the Simplicity tariff? I couldn't see anything . . . .
Plus, a friend has already shook on buying my 16gb 3g for £200. :T
Thanks in advance for any comments / suggestions!0
