iPhone '4' thread

Ohh I can't wait for iphone 4. So shiny and bright. I have iphone 3gs which I love so the iphone 4 can only be better. wooop wooop!!

Multitasking is pretty good on OS4, but thats a swipe at the OS rather than the handset

Removable batteries, who cares? The iPhones new battery is very very powerful and good.. it lasts.

Apples OS is pretty rubbish compared to webOS and Android. I would say that the UI of webOS is much better than both.The multitasking on webOS is very very good and not even Apple can beat it. . Palm made a big boo boo with their marketing but i would expect to see webOS in a HTC phone and HP have the money to do something very good with it.

As for the battery life of the new iphone, until it is out and being used we can't comment but with what people can do with their phones these days i doubt you will see what Apple have told you.

I hate to tell you this but an 8mp camera is better than a 5mp camera! Apple have made a phone with a great display and a nice looking shell but thats about it. Sorry to rain on your parade but it isn't as good as what you want it to be or as good as what Apple have told you.

Palm did make a big boo boo. They have always released excellent products. I still recall my Palm V fondly. (It was even better than my Psion 3).

All other things being equal, then I agree that more megapixels is better.

1) The battery is the same technology as previous batteries (but bigger) and ipad battery (but smaller) - Ipad battery even lasts longer than they said which is impressive
2) iOS is a fantastic operating system in terms of usability for the average user. There is simply no denying that
3) Once again 8mp does not mean its better than 5mp, it means it has more pixels. There are many other factors that makes an image good quality not just the pixels....!

EDIT: I agree with Fifer - if everything is equal to another camera then MP is the key factor.. but be assured this will be different You'll see

More pixels does not automatically mean better! Wait till you see the reviews come in, i'm betting the quality of the photos and more importantly the videos will be stunning and a market leader!

Again i hate to tell you but webOS beats iOS as does the UI. Apple do however beat Palm on the housing of the OS. Not enough to make me buy one though. If webOS was to be housed in a handset like the EVO then it would be between Android and webOS.

I only got my 32gb 3gs last week (£89 and 24 x £35 on Orange) and I ordered over the phone....with distance selling regs - do you think it's worth seeing if I can get an iPhone 4 instead?

Do you think the current 3gs contract will go down in price?

No it won't. It(Video) will be just as good as the Evo and Symbian 3. The camera on the Nokia is 12mp and the front facing camera on the Evo is 1.3mp comapred to the VGA of the iphone 4 and on both the Nokia and Evo there is an HDMI TV outlet to take full advantage of the video.

You have 14 days to cancel your contract without having to pay for it

I'd do that if I were you :P
