Um what bad points ampletime? There were 1.7 million iPhones sold in the first three days, how many people have complained? I am not having problems as with most of the 1.7 million.

Are you aware the worlds media are running stories about the issues people are having with the iPhone? They exist out there in the real world. People are investing in a handset that 'just works' and finding out it 'only just works' depending on how you hold it.
Its not a few faulty handsets, its not even a batch its a design flaw acknowledged by apple themselves.

Ive said it before but you never answer me, why are you two so obsessed with the iPhone 4 when you don't own or want one?
    .
FYG I am far from obsessed with this handset. For the record my wife now has my old 3G iphone (which i owned for 3 months before giving up with it due to the OS limitations compared to Android) so i am keeping an eye on things before i dare risk upgrading to ios4. because again there are issues with the iPhone 3G after an iOS 4 update:

I'm sorry if it upsets you that people are helping to make others aware of issues they may have, 24 months is a long time to be stuck with a phone that doesnt work especially one they have paid a premium for.

Just pointing out how many forums you've been banned from, can't think why, you seem so lovely.
Again very odd and very off topic, however you havent actually pointed out how many it is. as far as i know its just HUKD (which doesnt take a lot) and the Vodafone eforum (because i was asking questions they didnt want people asking, and giving answers they didnt want customers to knowing)

I stumbled over the pre-order and missed out - now I can't get hold of one of the damn things!

To make matters worse my old 3G has been crashing all day :(

I've called CW and they've said they'll call me tomorrow if any come in but I'm not holding much hope.

Any idea what's the quickest way to get one? I'm upgrading on o2.

He wouldn't know as he hates iphones, but if I was you I would first try a full reset/restore in case it is a recent app causing the probs, if that doesn't work then try the o/s4 route.

Not sure, theres been a lot of reported problems with the update on the iPhone 3, thats why i'm holding off updating the wifes (its still on 3.12) Hers went the other day and pressing the power button and wheel wouldnt work - just had the apple logo on the screen, managed to get it going again via itunes.

I would suggest going to 3.1.3 if you hunt around you can dl and install by clicking shift as you click update on itunes, it lets you select where to install from rather than dl the update, but I would hold off on o/s4 until it gets updated which I believe is soon, that caused me no end of problems on phone and pod I downgraded both the day after.

Just received an email from O2. They will be receiving more units tomorrow and Saturday. Good luck to all those who will be queuing up!
