Ampletime, do you actually have anything nice to say? If not, go play somewhere else. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting sick of the slanging matches.

This thread is about this iPhone 4; not the Desire, an XDA or anything by Samsung. If you don't like the iPhone 4, then that's entirely up to you. Please remember, however, that we really don't care what you think, just as you probably don't give two hoots about my opinions.

The purspose of this site is as a forum for advice and help. And on that note: place.

Personally I quite enjoy all the fighting on here, handbags at dawn and all that.

Please do keep it up everyone.

I'm returning my Iphone4 to Voda as i was told i would have no signal problem on there network however this was not the case as I would only have 2 signal bars at home and one where I work and was consistantley dropping calls due to the bad reception the phone was receiving and could never access the internet even using there edge signal ,but the nail in the coffin was last night using the Iphone on wifi at home and it took over 3 hours to download the Rayman app game where as my old 3G would do it in a matter of minutes on the 3 network,so I phoned Voda this morning only to be told that the best signal I could hope for was 2G which is no good for using an Iphone.:(

To cut a long story short I gave 3 a call and managed to get a white 32g 3GS for £25 per month.:)

Even though the Iphone4 is nice it is a finger magnet.
  • Well I'm one step closer with Tesco's - got my micro-sim from them today so at least they do have the intention of selling iPhone 4's. I had a bit of a row with them over various things, and one of the things they did say to me was that if I took my sim out of my iPhone for more than 10 hours it would cancel my data allowance, so when i put it back in my iPhone it would charge me for any data used - !!!!!!?????????????????????

Was steaming by the end of the call and didn't have the energy to question this, but I will be calling back .

To those posters who said it looks like a girls phone how do you's come to that conclusion? To the fella who said it was fluffy and pinky etc why would you buy a phone that looked like a females phone in the first place for yourself? Weird. The iphone 4 is the best phone i've ever had and this is my first ever iphone. The speed of it etc and it 100% doesn't look like a females phone. I think some people just sit with pure rage and envy that they would do anything to make something look and sound silly.

just like when the ford ka came out my impressions of that where the same, it looked like a girls car but 2 of my mates bought them because they thought differently
i have 2 female friends who hav iphone but not because its pure dead brilliant (keeping up with joneses)

why would i be sitting with pure rage and envy about a phone?
sounds like YOU were when reading the posts

i gave a honest opinion, my opinion, not yours
i respect you like it, but not your other retort
not everyone who doesnt like something is a troll

    regards

If it's using WiFi then it's not using 3G. What you say would suggest that your wifi or home broadband is slow and at fault not the network.

I appreciate you have signal issues but if your using Wifi then it's not the network at fault.

!!!!!! indeed! Do bear in mind that the phone ordering people at Tesco have recently proved they know nothing about phones or selling them, so it could just be one of their numpties making it up.

Be interesting to see if anyone else has been told the same by other networks?

I agree it must be his wifi, out of curiosity I dl that myself and it took a couple of minutes, you need to sort your home wifi out me thinks.

People are not slagging it off fanboy. They are pointing out faults and people like you don't like it and take offence. Do you live in such a silly little World that someone should get banned from using this site because they don't like the iphone?

The iphone 4 does have some flaws in hardware and as always software and people like you cant except that. If Apple told you to jump from a cliff i am sure you would and with all your gob i wish they would.

:rotfl: You see the problem is Ampletime, i'm not having any problems with my iPhone 4 other than everyone wanting to play with it.

My local Apple store for example has had 1 person come in and complain about the death grip, 1!!!! Complete storm in a tea cup.

Throughout this whole thread from way before it was even released ampletime and N20Y1D have done nothing but be negative about the iPhone 4 and they are still doing it.

Ive said it before but you never answer me, why are you two so obsessed with the iPhone 4 when you don't own or want one?

So obsessed that you spend much of your time finding links, stats and anything related to iPhone 4 bad news :rotfl:

It just so happens that the iphone 4 is a phone that doesn't work as it should, all the hype and people such as djrobmac getting all excited and can only see the good points they are not able to discuss the bad points beciuase in their small little minds anything with i or Apple before or after is perfect in every way. I'm sad to inform you it's not and i look at these things for a living.

Um what bad points ampletime? There were 1.7 million iPhones sold in the first three days, how many people have complained? I am not having problems as with most of the 1.7 million.
On another point, do you think that the solution to a design fault is to put tape round your phone regardless if it looks good or not on what is meant to be a 'ground breaking phone' that everyone wants or those of us that don't have one are jealous of?

I don't have to put tape around my phone LMAO.
Just for djrobmac Apple shift 5% more than Android however from the last week of march to middle of April Android sold an increase of 5.1% from 1.6% to 6.7%. Android is also out selling iphone in the States, the Evo 4g will help push those figures up and Android sell 7 out of every 10 handsets and account for 26% of the smartphone market. Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe sell more Symbian phones than anything else. HTC sell 55% of total Android phones and Motorola account for 30%.

77% of Android users are male, 57 % of iphone users are male , 30% of Android users are aged 25-34, 21% of iphone users are 25-34 and 17% of users of Android are 18-24 and 12% of iphone users are 18-24. 65% of people who own an ipod are 17 or under

Just for Ampletime, Apple launches 1 iPhone a year, last week alone Android showed off 8 handsets. Your stats therefore are 100% irrelevant

What a very very odd post. Do try and keep on topic.

Just pointing out how many forums you've been banned from, can't think why, you seem so lovely.

every mobilephone forum i go to has fanboys, be it apple nokia htc samsung etc but since this is the apple thread this is about apple fanboys.
theres about 4 people in each of the forums i got to which imo are real fanboys because even if something was wrong with their iphone they would never say that there was.
ive never had an iphone before or tested one so i cant comment how good compared to any other phone but im being honest when i say i wouldnt want one for 3 reasons :the price(not because i cant afford it) the way apple handles itself and most important to me, like the poster a couple of posts before me says, it looks like a girls phone imo

    @djrobmac
this is what im talking about when i stated above about so called fanboys the die hards,
im new to the forums and reading your post its stereo typical of said fanboys
even if your own phone text u to tell you um your holding me wrong it would be between you and your phone
it would still be working perfect in your eyes

I get funnly looks when I tell people thats the phones name but after they pick it up and play then they can see why. :D
