Seems after all the calling of apple by HTC/Android users their phones are even more in the control of the manufacturers http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/06/28/google_remote_android_application_install/

I gave my Iphone 3gs to my 15 year old niece. It is not really an adult phone is it, come on! Facebook etc... I found the phone quite 'pink & fluffy' and very feminine. Ladies, crack on with the iphone. Fellas , just stop it. It

Granted I enjoyed my HD2 before I got sick of carrying it and gave it to the wifey.

every mobilephone forum i go to has fanboys, be it apple nokia htc samsung etc but since this is the apple thread this is about apple fanboys.
theres about 4 people in each of the forums i got to which imo are real fanboys because even if something was wrong with their iphone they would never say that there was.
ive never had an iphone before or tested one so i cant comment how good compared to any other phone but im being honest when i say i wouldnt want one for 3 reasons :the price(not because i cant afford it) the way apple handles itself and most important to me, like the poster a couple of posts before me says, it looks like a girls phone imo
they don't make shortbread any longer:)

my iphone does not work, do I return it to 02 or Apple? the problem is 02 won't have any stock, Apple (according to the apple store in the US) keep spare stock to give people with faulty phones, but, I am returning it to the UK - any ideas?
  • Chipsdog, your phone warranty is with Apple. I'd be tempted to get in touch with them about it rather than O2. As you say; they should be able to replace it quicker than O2.

People are not slagging it off fanboy. They are pointing out faults and people like you don't like it and take offence. Do you live in such a silly little World that someone should get banned from using this site because they don't like the iphone?

The iphone 4 does have some flaws in hardware and as always software and people like you cant except that. If Apple told you to jump from a cliff i am sure you would and with all your gob i wish they would.

Ampletime, do you actually have anything nice to say? If not, go play somewhere else. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting sick of the slanging matches.

This thread is about this iPhone 4; not the Desire, an XDA or anything by Samsung. If you don't like the iPhone 4, then that's entirely up to you. Please remember, however, that we really don't care what you think, just as you probably don't give two hoots about my opinions.

The purspose of this site is as a forum for advice and help. And on that note:

Threads and articles I've read elsewhere suggest that the problem with the signal dropping off is related to a software glitch. When you touch the metal either side of the band, the phone should recognise that you've linked the two areas together and changed the length of the available ariel. There are two solutions:

    1. Break the link
Put something over the area to stop your hand linking the two areas. This can be a cover/case or even just a piece of sellotape - the tape looks silly, but it works as a temporary fix.

    2. Instal the new update from Apple when it arrives
It's widely expected that iOS 4.0.1 will be available within a week or two (probably just before the next shipment of phones is available). The update will fix the software issue thats preventing the correct frequency modulation.

So for a week or two, people will be walking around with sellotape over their phones. After that, this will all blow over and no one will even remember that there was an issue in the first place.

Oh N20Y1D I'm not sure i've ever come across someone so obsessed about the iphone even though they don't have one and slag it off at every opportunity :rotfl: I'm kinda thinking your getting very jealous of us all with our amazing phones.

Which forums have you been banned from now N20Y1D? I wonder if you can get banned from MSE too! :T

Did you miss the headlines that Apple sold 1.7 Million iPhone 4's in 3 days and in just 5 Countries lmao.

I'm guessing with 1.7 million new iPhone 4 users some will be having problems as with every handset ever released. Why don't you list the problems people have had with the HTC Desire? It is your phone at the end of the day. While your at it why not post the sales figures for the Desire.

Not having any problems with my proximity sensor lol

What a very very odd post. Do try and keep on topic.

Have apple released the fix yet?

I wonder if the vacancies listed below have come about from employees 'moving on' or did the roles never exist prior to the 'death grip'
