I did have trouble hearing but then it was ok, didn't know why but I bet that's why:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Had enough of Tesco. I was going for a 32GB phone but frankly I can't see the point anymore, not with Tesco anyway.
Customer service is atrocious before the sale, never a good sign.
And given the problems with the iphone chances are you will need to speak to them sooner or later....
Actually joking aside if you had any problems with the phone apples customer service is fantastic, you would only need to deal with tesco if you had an issue with your tarrif?TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

Cheersloads on amazon
Anyone found a decent case that isn't on Amazon? (I don't particularly like any of the cases on Amazon).
Why is everyone wanting to buy their phone from Tesco? More to the point, why is everyone queuing for hours outside shops to buy their phones?!
I pre-ordered mine from Orange on Wednesday and they delivered it to me on Thursday afternoon - to my work. Either I'm especially privileged or others are just gullible.0 -

Tesco are doing some great 12 month deals. Shame nobody can get one.0 -

I wanted mine on the release day and I have waited in many times for things to just not be delivered so I decided to queue (I had reserved)- and it paid off as I got the phone I wanted on a 3 contract- had I waited for an upgrade with 3 then I'd still have a few weeks to go. My contract finished in Jan so I've been waiting for this phone long enough.
I am not gullible but I do know what I want, and I am very happy with my iphone that the Apple store set up for me ready to use and they even used their magic machine to transfer all of my contacts onto my iphone from my old nokia n95 8gb which wouldn't took me ages.:T0 -
Good luck to you all. We did have a 3G one for a while, but Iphones are s h i t e so we got rid.
My advice is, if you like all the gadgets and gizmos then get an Ipod touch and get a separate phone.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -

this has been the start of my problems a few minutes later i received this email
Dear Mr Taylor,
We are sorry to inform you that we have had to cancel your Tesco Direct order.
This is due to one of the following reasons:
1. We carry out comprehensive payment verification procedures on every order to ensure we provide our customers with a safe and secure shopping experience. Unfortunately, as a result of these checks, we are unable to process your order.
What can you do to resolve this?
Please ensure that the details you provide are 100% accurate. Please also provide a daytime, evening and mobile contact telephone number, so that we can contact you if required.
2. Your bank has declined payment on your order. Banks have rigorous security checks in place also, to help safeguard their customers. Some of the reasons as to why banks refuse online payments are:
Your spend is not in line with your normal shopping habits
There are insufficient funds in your account at the time the payment was requested
What can you do to resolve this?
We would recommend that you speak to your bank to determine why they declined payment, before submitting a replacement order.
3. The quantities of items you have ordered, exceed our bulk buying policy.
What can you do to resolve this?
We would recommend that you adhere to the bulk buy restrictions, specified either in our Terms and Conditions or specified in the product information on our website.
We are really sorry if this has affected your order and for any disappointment this may have caused.
We hope you understand the reasons this time and choose to shop with Tesco Direct again soon.
If you have any questions please visit our online help pages at Direct Help or for contact details please visit Contact us.
Kind regards,
The Tesco Direct Customer Service Team
to which i contacted them and was met with the most unhelpful girl who couldn't wouldn't help me any further and gave me no other options but to live with this.
Then around 1pm i received a call from the cust service rep i placed the order with to let me know there had been a system problem but my order was still ok and would be dispatched shortly and delivered on monday as agreed, not 10 mins later i had a call from the my credit card company fraud department querying chargers which where £1 tesco mobile £1 o2 services £2 tesco (not mobile) and tesco mobile £398.89
i agreed these where my charges and then at around 3pm my bank once again contacted me to say that every hour from 9am tesco had been charging my card £398.89 and had billed my card to date £1994.45 i told my bank this was incorrect and it should be one charger only, so my bank said they could only cancel my card to prevent further chargers and issues a new one, and i should contact tesco and they would chase it there end
I contacted tesco to find out what was happening i was passed from tesco mobile to tesco pay monthly to tesco direct with no one seaming to be able to do anything or even caring, with the lady in tesco direct saying "the bank has cancelled ur card whats the problem just live with it" not so much as i'm sorry i will look into why this has happened and may find out if they are still hitting my card for the money ever hr though it's now cancellled.
so i was no getting to the point of thinking no phone is worth this stress then i had a call from tesco mobile saying my order had not been completed due to the system problems and i needed to place my order again and go thru a 2nd credit check and give a different card number to complete the order but there is no way now i'm going near tesco mobile, and the laugh is they can't refund my first £389.89 untill they sort there systems. and the bank can't help as i agreed it was a proper charge.0 -

After months of lurking on this thread and looking forward to getting the iphone4 I just wanted to say how utterly ANNOYED I am with TESCO!
Exactly the same here. I don't normally post but I'm so P**sed off with Tescos and the way they've handled this whole situation. Clearly they didn't have any phones to sell to begin with, just played us all along!
I think everyone should ring Watchdog or something to name and shame Tescos!0 -
I was also told they were only allocated 500! I told them whoever decided this was 'plenty to last the weekend' was having a laugh. He said Apple had only allocated 10,000 to the UK. Hmmm. My current simplicity deal doesn't end til Aug 12th anyway so I guess I can wait a bit longer.0
