My advice is, if you like all the gadgets and gizmos then get an Ipod touch and get a separate phone.
Although I am not a fan of the iphone I think your criticism of them is misplaced. They are very good phones, just not my cup of tea, so to speak.
An iphone is much more flexible in respect of connectivity than the touch.0 -
I wouldnt be without my 3GS or iphone4 if it gets fixed or comes back in stock.
Every year at the end of contract i began searching out new phones i wanted but since having the iphone ive only ever wanted another iphone it does everything i want :j0 -
There is also loads of silicone and gel cases on ebay for like £3 now for the iphone4 and some are including free screen protector which I think could be a must.0

After going into the city today and trying the iPhone 4 for the first time I have to say, beautiful phone, but the reception issue is simply horrendous.
Obviously there's been a few posters saying they don't have the issue but I went into an O2 store and an Apple store and tried out 2 O2 service phones and 2 Orange service phones respectively.
The problem for me will be whist surfing or texting as a right hander, so I held the phone completely normally on all four occasions, no pressure beyond normal.
The 2 O2 phones showed degredation from 4 bars to 1 bar in the space of about 50 seconds. I am unsure if it was a 3G signal or 2G since the phones were linked via WI-FI which means that 2G/3G is not displayed, hence I couldn't test whether the phones could still surf via O2, but I doubt it on 1 bar.
In the Apple store on Orange it was far worse. 5 bars on Orange, within 30 seconds these were down to 0 bars and Searching/No service. I couldn't believe my eyes.
I surf on the move (train) which is bad enough, but this would make surfing on the move a rather unenjoyable experience.
I really do recommend people go try this out for themselves before purchasing an Iphone 4 because as much as I want one, I just know that after the initial euphoria wears off It'll annoy the hell out of me.
And don't let some arrogant American CEO tell you to hold it differently. Go hold it yourself - it's THE premium phone and shouldn't have this fault.0 -

taking so blooming long to announce their iphone 4 prices.
how come theyre light yrs behind everyone else.
will they stop offering the iphone 3gs on upgrades now too+0 -
Today I had a reality check and decided that I didn't need the additional functionality that the iPhone 4 offered. I went instore and upgraded to Three's 3GS on £25 per month. At the end of the day it would do me fine for the next two years, the 3GS did not turn into a bad phone overnight.0
