I finally got through to Tesco a minute ago (after having to endure a couple of minutes listening to The Four Seasons) only to be told that they were out of stock of iPhone4's :(

Did you not get the "currently unavailable" message? :/

EDIT: Hang on, maybe I've been dialling the wrong number, what an idiot.

No, the number was engaged for ages but I persisted in calling and eventually got through (but as they've got not stock it was a complete and utter waste of time)

Just got through to Tesco and there systems are up.

But they don't have anymore in stock.

I had already placed an order with apple a week ago and when I heard tesco's deal i thought i would go with that but now i guess I'm lucky that i didn't cancel my apple order then.
  • I finally got through to Tesco about 12:15pm, apparently their systems came back up at 12pm and they sold out by 12:10pm - so much for having loads of stock in! Don't waste your time calling, they don't have anything to sell you.

Did they ever have stock??? Anyone hear of anyone that's actually received an Iphone 4 that they ordered by phone from Tesco's? Those that got through I heard they had emails later in the day to say their order was not completed due to an error with credit card processing.
  • Did you ask how they managed to sell out of them given that the system seems to have been down since the day they went on sale?
They tell you it's out of stock then read a script telling you to register on there website. The lady couldn't have sounded more depressed. Bet she's going to have to read that out for the rest of the day.

I believe Apple can only sell new accounts as they don't have access to the networks systems and so can't run the upgrade process.

I was on 3 but just started a new account

    got 32g £189
900 mins unlimited text 1gb data £35 month 24 months

The phone is beautiful! signal good and no problems.

Spend £25 on black bumper from Apple  but it's good!

What you cant tell in the vid is he was prob pressing the iphone very hard into his palm...... Take it from an owner.. this problem does not actually effect the use of the device apart from in minor situations!

I'll back you up, mine is fine also no problems at all! well worth the 3 hour queue:T
  • Just also got through. They state the lines came up early and sold out already. I queried this and also the promise that they would prioritise customers from the last few days. They had previously asked for my phone number and said I would be called before general sale. I know others were asked the same . The operator said this should not have happened and the lady "Diane" I spoke apparently does not work there !. Complaints dept address

Not happy, wasted hours on this.
