Had enough of Tesco. I was going for a 32GB phone but frankly I can't see the point anymore, not with Tesco anyway.

Customer service is atrocious before the sale, never a good sign.
Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though
  • I believe all you guys who are saying that they have sold out, but, yet I find myself compelled to keep ringing! :P
I think I just fancy a good ol' rant at someone who can be held, at least, partially responsible :)

I think I've had enough of Tesco. After 3 days of confusion, system failures, and hours ringing an engaged number, they've suddenly run out of stock within about 10 minutes of their system going live?

I might just get a 32GB from Apple and go with O2 Simplicity.

I also received my invoice from Apple online today with no IMEI number on it! What did Apple say when you rang them?
They said they will e-mail me a new invoice with it on BUT I have a feeling an email won't be good enough for the insurance company SO once I have that I am going to call back and ask for them to send out a hard copy.

And those of you who bought from an Apple store, does your receipt say anything about an IMEI number? What about if bought from one of the networks (they usually include it).

Receipt from Apple store includes serial number of the phone and IMEI number.

This is what I'm angry with Apple for - they emailed my receipt with all this info on it to the wrong email address!

This is from the Macrumors site:

:S this is scary, just rang tesco he says if you go over 1GB, you will automatically be charged £4.50 per megabyte!

If that's true, it's ridiculous. Seriously considering SIM-only deals now.

Just called 3 of my nearest Tesco stores with phone departments. 2 of them have no idea when they'll have them in stock. 1 of them has said they'll probably get a shipment on Tuesday.

The Tesco website has no information about shortages etc. The phone line is constantly engaged, I've given up trying.

So we have absolutely no clue as to how to get our hands on the iPhone from Tesco! I've been looking at SIM-only deals, but I can't bring myself to buy them because the Tesco 12 month contract is so much cheaper over the year.

What a complete load of bullsh*t! They never had any bloody iphones. I phoned yesterday and was told they have plenty of stock, I asked how much plenty was and was told thousands. Have since heard they actually had 500 and around half were sold yesterday when their crappy system came back up. Absolute disgrace!

But I will still buy from them when they get more stock!

Apple don't have facility to do upgrades just new contracts.

Just got a text from Three. I will be contacted between 1 to 7 July to organise my upgrade with handset being delivered w/c 19th July.

Hmm. Had a call earlier from Three upgrades and went something like this.

Three: Good morning is the Mr Liubeliu

    Me: Yes

Three: This is Three, we are following up from your interest in the HTC handset and have a good deal on the HTC you are interested in and can do £17 per month with 100 mins, unlimited Text and internet due to the usage over last 3 years.

Me: That's a good deal for a HTC Desire

Three: No it is for the HTC Hero

Me: My interest is on the Desire, because of no stock I couldn't upgrade last month. What's your best deal?

Three: We can do on the Desire £30 for 500mins blah blah blah

Me: No not interested, I now want an iPhone

Three: We can do you upgrade deal now of 16GB iPhone on £30 per month with same minutes

Me: Is that the iPhone 4?

Three: We don't have iPhone 4 just 3GS

Me: I got a text last night saying that I can upgrade from the 1st

Three: This is correct, but due to high demand I cannot guarantee you one

Me: I had another text saying i have one reserved

Three: The HTC Desire is a much better handset and can try and match the same deal as the Hero as from your records you do not make more than 100 mins of calls a month

Me: No I want the iPhone 4 which has my name on it please

Three: Yes I am aware of this, what time would you like me to call you on the 1st so I can process your upgrade

    Me: AS early as possible

Three: We open at 8am is that ok with you?

Me: Yes thank you, will it be yourself calling?

Three: Yes it will be, speak to you on the 1st July.

I wonder whether they have very small stocks of the iPhone and are trying to tempt those who have registered with other offers!! Will see if he calls back on the 1st?
