This has been discussed at length earlier in the thread

Sorry, I haven't read all 80 pages. Can you summarise with a quick yes or no? Thanks.

That is exactly what I have done - bought a Simplicity tariff last week, while it is still unlimited data. He assured me that it would stay that way.

The capping from October is a special offer on the NEW iPhone tariffs - they will be unlimited data till then.

If you put an existing tariff into an iPhone 4, it will be with same terms you have now. It is only the new tariffs that data will be capped (at least, from October onward).

Ha Ha, if anyone desperately wants a phone on the release day, then feel free to PM me, meet me at a store in Liverpool, pay me £1500 and the £179 upgrade charge and they can have the phone!

I'll even offer discount... you can have it for £1650 total!

    Bargain.

Oh yeah, cash only in used fivers and tenners please!

I'm under contract with Tesco's for my 3gs until next April. A couple of weeks ago hubby dropped said phone down the toilet (RIP)....... he was going to buy me a replacement iPhone 4. Spoke to Tesco's customer services today who said that they could not transfer my contract to the micro-sim needed, if I wanted the iPhone 4 I would have to buy out my current contract (£180) and take out a new one!!!!! Now I don't know whether to just get the iPhone 4 and try to hack up my sim card, or go out and buy a 16gb 3gs in the next couple of days........... help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Microsim is a load of Hype. Its literally just a regular sim with the plastic trimmed off. You can cut your Regular sim no problem provided it is the newer smaller kind. Which tesco use.

You can order a free p&go microsim for the ipad here and then you'll have an exact template to cut to.

I did consider selling my iPhone 4 when I get it to try to earn some cash and then use this cash towards my own iPhone later - especially considering some iPhones were gettings bids of £850+. I quickly dismissed the idea because I'd have to wait too long to get one myself (these past few weeks seem like an age) and it's not worth the risk selling such a high value item anyway. The buyer could say it was never received, it was damaged etc or be using a stolen credit card etc.

What this eBay person has done is to try and sell the opportunity to have the iPhone (i.e. the reservation) without risking the outlay of the phone. Smart but perhaps trying his (or her) luck a bit. Mind you, if someone is desperate enough then that's their own look out.

Don`t know if anyone has mentioned this before but apparantly the new software release date is tomorrow, I updated my itunes yesterday. There is nothing on the apple website so don`t know if it`s true or not.

Hi Does anyone know from what time on the 24th you will be able to upgrade online with o2?

    Thanks

You won't, O2 have already stated there will be no Online ordering until July. You have to go into a store to upgrade.
