I want to upgrade to an iphone which i may do on Thursday with o2 early upgrade offer. Will they still do a credit check if i am already a customer and upgrading?
Thanks
Hi there
They are likely to view it as a "new contract" and require the credit check, but it should be a lower score requirement if you are upgrading. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
I have phone insurance (and basic breakdown car cover etc) with my lloyds bank paying £8.95 a month
You could get basic breakdown with Green Flag for under £30 and as I've mentioned above, the cover under the home insurance would be about £5. So that's £35 of the £107.40 you are paying your bank. What does the other £72.40 get you?In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
I might get the 16gb one - £35 per month, and £119 up front.
The 32gb one is £100 more....
Is the main difference simply storage capacity? Is it worth the extra £100?
Also, there are 78 pages here so I've not read them all, but with the tarifs vary between networks? Or are they all similar prices on contract?0 -

If you want complete peace of mind, ask your parents to "specify" the iPhone on their policy. This will cost you a few pounds plus a one-off administration fee (so a total of perhaps £30 - £5 for the cover and £25 for the admin fee) and if you offer to pay it, your parents should be happy. The phone is then insured up to the next renewal date and then it's only £5 for the next year (no admin fee).
Cover under the home insurance will include accidental damage AND accidental loss - accidental loss is things like leaving the phone on the bus or train and situations where the phone has disappeared but you can't prove theft. Accidental Loss and theft without violence are usually excluded from specific mobile phone insurance.
Thanks I will do this then, they are with the AA I think. Seems a much better deal than paying £70 to £100 a year.:T0 -

Hi there
One of the forum members kindly set up the following spreadsheet:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0ApfeHZ96DqZMdGIwd0lfV2sxRHlwWWV4NW4zYUVaVVE&hl=en_GB#gid=4
It shows the different phone companies and their prices and they are keeping it up to date (expect to see T-Mobile and 3 on there once the prices have been released).
Hope this helps. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -

According to o2 you can only do the early upgrade offer online or in an o2 shop. wonder if you would get a better chance of getting the phone online rather than going to a shop?0

So how many are taking a packed lunch down to their local Apple store Thursday morning then ?
I can see lines of pre-ordered customer going round the block !0 -
I think I'm just going to wait until Dialaphone get some stock or one of the other online retailers. I love the iPhone but there's no way I'm queuing up on Thursday morning!0

I'm under contract with Tesco's for my 3gs until next April. A couple of weeks ago hubby dropped said phone down the toilet (RIP)....... he was going to buy me a replacement iPhone 4. Spoke to Tesco's customer services today who said that they could not transfer my contract to the micro-sim needed, if I wanted the iPhone 4 I would have to buy out my current contract (£180) and take out a new one!!!!! Now I don't know whether to just get the iPhone 4 and try to hack up my sim card, or go out and buy a 16gb 3gs in the next couple of days........... help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
