  • Hello

I purchased a KGB voucher for a luxury 8 sleeper villa in Lanzarote. I then rang the company to redeem the voucher and was told they did not have any 8 sleeper villas, it is for 6 and not even in the place where it stated on the deal. This was a problem for us as we needed somewhere that would sleep 7. To cut a long story short, I have had sooooo much trouble with the villa company and I have tried emailing and ringing KGB on numerous occassions, but nobody answers the phones and I havent had any replies from my emails. I purchased the voucher in March for £169 and I am still waiting for a refund.
  • I have become tired of working with KGB deals and I'm now desperately trying to sort out my last problem so that I can remove them from my emails and close the account.
Before Christmas, I purchased a set of dishes, a 'silken' rug and 3x big boy beanbags.
Eventually we got to March with no sign of anything. The dishes were claimed, by the supplier, to be the responsibility of KGB deals and not them (they claimed that KGB deals had not sent them the stock - what?!) - 4 months later I got this refunded.
The bean bags never arrived and, again, by April, they were refunded.
Finally, I am STILL trying to get a resolution with this blasted silken rug. Neither 'furnitureandflooring.co.uk' or KGB deals have any idea of customer service. Both operating at arms length and with phone lines that never work.
I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM KGB DEALS AND THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS - DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO BUY ANYTHING.
5 OUT OF 5 BAD DEALS CLEARLY TELLS A STORY!

I had purchased a massage deal back in February for £9 and when i wanted to book for 28th may ( which was my birthday) they said they were fully booked at the parlour when i contacted them on the 15th May 2012. I contacted the parlour again and they said to contact KGB deals directly for a refund. My card that i used to purchased has since changed due to fraud made on my account. Found the numbers from here and can never get through, so since then i have sent more than 20 emails and am still continuing to send the same emails again and again! They reply back when it suits them it seems and the last email i got from them was:

    KGB:
    Update: Hello,

    Thank you for the email

If you have a new card is with the same bank account as the old card then the refund will still be processed back to the account for you

If we can be of any further help please do not hesitate to contact us

    Many thanks

    Claire

    Your kgbdeals Team

I am now p***ed off with them and so i felt it was necessary to send this (which is the recent email that i sent today:

    From me:
......So how do you plan on refunding the £9 without calling me?! I am not sending my details by EMAIL OR BY POST OR ANY OTHER FORM OF WRITTEN CORESPONDENCE!

AND WHY IS IT TAKING YOU LOT SO LONG TO REFUND ?!?!?!?!? THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR FAR TOO LONG. I'D LIKE THIS MONEY BACK BY NEXT WEEK THE LATEST. I dont know why you people are so difficult to get through when i try to contact your numbers. You are stalling and im not having it! So can you hurry up and contact me, you already have my mobile number. Stop saying you have to process the refund onto a card that NO LONGER EXISTS AND CONTACT ME PLEASE!

    THANK YOU!

FROM A VERY UNHAPPY AND UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

I have also sent this to Watch Dog to see what they would advise, but can anyone do anything about this or have i lost my money like some others on here?!
  • I have had nothing but problems with this company, at this moment in time I am awaiting something that was posted to me on 21 May, I cannot get a voucher code to work on something else and when I try to contact company there is either no answer or you leave a message and no-one gets back to you. I have sent email to KGB deals and all I get is a reference number reply but so far no solution. Also tried for a car valet and when you phone to book it you cant get a place and the girl is so cheeky, which I know isnt KGB's fault, but it really is off putting. I will certainly be unsubscribing

i wonder sometimes what would happen if a company such as KGB decided to pursue litigation against people who post up threads on these (and other) calling them a BIG SCAM, accusing them of purposefully selling codes for cinema tickets in the full knowledge that they are fake and therefore fraudulent.
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

I purchased a voucher for a globe shaped fire pit from my kool kitchen(www.kool-kitchens.co.uk) on 28th May 2012.
I submmited the order via the order form on the suppliers website on 29th May 2012.
They were supposed to have confirmed the order within 48hours.
Yes, you guessed I have heard nothing. I submmited the order again and no response.
I sent 3 messages via the contact form on kool-kitchens website(states the try to reply with 24 hours), - No response from
    any of these.
I have sent various emailsd to kgb , the last 3 requesting a refund.
    No refund as yet.
You cannot contact kgb by phone as it goes to an automatic message requesting you contact them on email!!
Shameful customer service from both companies.

I am having the same issue with the same company (My Kool Kitchen) entered all the details into their site, but never got a reply, emailed kgb deals who said I should check my spam folder :T then 2 weeks ago I had an email from My Kool Kitchen saying that I would receive an email with a Paypal link (to pay for the delivery) within 24 hours, I heard noting and emailed KGB and My Kool Kitchen but no replies.

Not impressed with KGB Deals, they should somehow vet the businesses that add deals to the site.
  • For the record, I purchased a KGB deal (June 2012) and was subsequently alerted to their problematic record of good-faith for their transactions. I immediately sent an email from the confirmation page requesting cancellation of the deal and CC charges. The charges were reversed same day according to the CC records. As I didn't order the item, I can't vouch for whether the voucher would have worked, I can only say that their credibility increased with their immediate refund of the charges without aggrivation.

    Regards,

I am having the same problems with a KGB voucher for a steam cleaner from My Kool Kitchen. I ordered the item & got an acknowlegement & paypal demand for the £4.95 postage which I paid immediately. Then nothing....

The goods are supposed to arrive within 28 days & I am supposed to receive an email on despatch of the goods. The 28 days is up on Monday & I've heard nothing despite an email asking for an update.

I paid for the deal on my CC so I can get that back, but paypal will not refund the postage as its a payment for a service, not goods.

I've had some great deals from Groupon, but won't be using KGB again thats for sure.
