I had to issue a PayPal claim to get my money back, but this did nit include the postage of 17 quid. It has taken me over 40 emails, countless threatening (and public) tweets, Facebook messages , phone calls just to get them to respond. Then when they did they blamed their suppliers for not responding to them, so they could bot issue a refund.
Kgbdeals are thieves, believe me if you wish ro keep your sanity and your money DINT buy anything frin these con artists. If you see a deal from them, go to the supplier directly , call the sypplier and ask for the deal WITHOUT going thro KGB, believe me if will save you pulling your hair out should anytging go wrong.
KGB.......they seem to have the right name!
(please excuse spelling, sent from my phones keypad)0 -
Hi I just wanted to say I have used KGB deals for weekend hotel breaks, and meals out several times without any problems at all so I for one will continue to use them, some great offers around.0

I purchased an e-book reader through KGB to an agent called fabgifts.co,i had previously used KGB to book a microsoft course which was a great success so i had no worries, unfortunately nearly 9 weeks down the line my product hasn`t arrived, i contacted fabgifts who told me it was due to the olympics and that their shipment was held up,so i gave them a little longer, mistake, because i left it and paid through paypal it now seems that you only get 45 days after purchase to lodge a dispute,i have phoned the number that paypal has as a contact for fabgifts and a schoolboy answered it and said he had had loads of people ring him,i am fuming at the moment but i will get my revenge !!!!:mad:0

I am getting a bit fed up of people constantly saying kgbdeals is a scam.
kgbdeals offer a service, this service is efficient and does work. I use kgbdeals for the hotels on a regular basis and never have any problems. Thats the problem with these sites, people get to slate a valid and working company for something that is more than likely their own fault.
Never mind the fact that kgbdeals is in the same brand as 118 118 (a very safe and established company). Try looking at Groupon and the likes. In the news every day, kgbdeals are yet to appear in the news.
More thought is needed before commenting I think!!
Well clearly you are wrong liverpool7 - kgb deals have appeared many times in press, here's a couple on the national BBC News website::eek:

Personally I have been using kgb deals, groupon and living social for last year or so. No problems until 2 weeks ago. I went to order a tv bed, with a deal from The Original Bed Company. My transaction went through, I received an email with my voucher LINK (kgb deals only send links in emails, they don't actually send the voucher itself in the email like Groupon do) and when I clicked on it it said invalid. I then find that KGB deals refunded the amount to me without explanation! I contacted my bank card issuer to see if there was a problem and they confirmed everything was fine. KGB deals have said the offer is now over and that I will have to wait for other deals.:(
Trying to get sense out of the countless emails I have sent and received on the subject, I now find that when I try to log into my account, it says "suspended due to suspicious activity" - the email support says this is because my account tried to make a large purchase...duh! I seem to be getting nowhere, but at least I have my money. :mad:0 -
Myself and my young lady bought a voucher each to stay at the Corona hotel in Blackpool, when we rang to book they said that we could not use the vouchers back to back (even though they were in different names) and that they were not valid at weekends neither of which it says in the terms and conditions.
After eventually getting a reply to an e mail from KGB they said someone from the Corona would ring which eventually they did, they came up with a different story about the weekends and the days involved.
They eventually suggested that they would do their best to accommodate us but in exchange we would have to forgo breakfast.
This I found to be unacceptable we paid for b & b and I think we should get b & b.
I emailed KGB 3 weeks ago asking for a refund but as of yet they have net even given me the courtesy of a reply.
This is my 1st experience of KGB and it's not good, I have used other company's for a couple of years now with no problems at all just good deals.
I bought some vouchers for a hotel in Scotland from Groupon which before we could book went bankrupt, Groupon refunded my money in a matter of days.0 -

Think yourself lucky that the deal didn't go through.
I purchased the same deal on the 1st Feb. Still no bed and no reply from numerous emails to The Original Bed Co, and KGB Deals I have had one email reply saying they have contacted the OBCo and are awaiting a reply.
Tried contacting KGB since then to ask how long I should wait - no replies (3 weeks ago).0 -
I've just come across this warning, but I have to say that I disagree from my experience. I purchased a half highlights, cut and blow dry and conditioning treatment from KGB deals for £24. I booked an appointment at the salon and went there today and got fantastic treatment and my hair looks amazing. There may be some dodgy ones, but please don't think they are all like that. No problem booking an appointment either, I go one within three days. Dawn, North London.0

I can't get a refund from KGB. Have been trying for weeks now, they have stopped replying to emails and I cannot get through on the phone. Even had an email saying they would phone me but still nothing. Anyone any more ideas.
I had bought the neoprene work out shorts which never arrived. When the finally appeared 4 weeks later after numerous email with KGB and the company they were the wrong size. Have sent them back, have proof of delivery etc but since no one is answering I am totally lost! Paid through PayPal but it's been a lot longer than the 45 days.
Any help would be appreciated.0
