Why would BT (a service provider) no about another service providers dealings?

Its BTW that cut off E1N, who are completely seperate from BT Retail (who are treated like a service provider).

Try focusing your attention to E1N and find out why they've taken 2 years upfront & not paid their bills for the service?
  • Hi there. Yesterday afternoon my Euro1net service died (I was one of the "lucky" ones with a euro1net.broadband id who continued working after the .com users were disconnected). Now, although the ADSL link is up, all attempts to get authenticated are getting nowhere. I've tried phoning Euro1net on 0870 224 5406 and get their recorded message, on 0870 803 1935 which is never answered, and also tried the Ramsgate number for Advanced Data Services 01843 580044 - which again is never answered. I've tried e-mailing and get automated response from customerservices@euro1net.com saying the address is no longer operational. So far I've received no response from tscs@euro1net.com. My question is, are there any people out there that are still getting some service from Euro1net?
  • Likewise similarly not affected, until I attempted last night to connect.

What is the best way of progressing a refund as I thoughtfully paid by credit card?

Phone up your credit card company and say you want a chargeback on the payments and future payments stopped - they will advise you and start the ball rolling if you can't contact them ;)

It doesn't look good for any Euro1net customers.

Lots of people posting here about no connection as well.

to use 'The Register' vernacular Euro1net has formally gone 'titsup':

The website seems to have gone - hope everyone got the evidence they need to make any claims on credit cards etc

Hi - if you paid using a visa debit card I believe there is a possibility of using a 'chargeback' facility - have a read through the adslguide forum for further info on this.

[edit - see this link taken from the same forum: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/working_lunch/4260806.stm ]

I just rang up AOL, explained that my isp had gone under, I was after a 1MB uncapped service and that a friend had just signed up with them for £9.99 with a month free, and was this still available? Short story version I didn't get the free month but I got the 1MB service for £9.99 no connection fee (the alternative is £14.99 a month and they send you a wireless router).

They were aware of Euro1net and said most of the lines had been released or would be very shortly - they quoted 10-14 days to be up and running and offered a dialup facility (using the AOL software) in the meantime.

I don't want the software on my pc but from reading AOL forums you can just configure the router as per euro1net.

    Thanks for that info
The aol offer at £10 a month sounds very good
It seems to be exactly the same as i was on at you know who.
Are you tied into a contract ?
I think i will go for that offer. No connection fee very usefull as well.
Have you got the relevant number for aol please ?

it's a twelve month contract paid monthly by credit/debit card or direct debit.

He was a bit hesitant when I mentioned the 9.99 and put me on hold for a bit before offering it 'as a special rate to Euro1net customers' but from reading other peoples posts if you don't get offered it at that rate you just politely decline and ring again until you do get it.

The number is the one on the AOL site 0800 200 6045
