It certainly looks bad. Oh dear. :(

As an ex e7even customer, I can empathise with any euro1net customers on MSE. It looks like the wholesale service supplied by BT has been terminated due to non payment, and cease orders are being issued...

I would advise anyone who was with Euro1net to read the post below carefully and retrieve your online account documentation as quickly as possible.

OK - Seems like I need some help here! I am with E1N and have been happy until now. I need an ISP that has a contract of no more tghatn 12 months (although preferably monthly) for no more than about GBP16/month and no limit on monthly downloads - I don´t mind if it is an off peak unlimited period only that has no limits. My usual surfing is less than 2Gb per month but other off-peak only usage tends to take up a little more. Can anyone advise? I don´t want to go to the likes of talk talk due to the fact they shape traffic and appear to have an appalling record of managing their customer relations..

feival, has your service ceased, are you seeing the BTWholesale page informing you of the problem?

If not, and it still works, then it may well be worth asking for a MAC

Believe it or not I am on holiday in Spain staying with my in-laws so I have no idea! Anyway, if I ask for a MAC now I am walking away from the contract and won´t be able to get the rest of my cash back from my credit card company...

This news really doesn't surprise me. It's been on the back of my mind for months now that Euro1nets pricing/package structure was not feasable. Especially if they use BTW as a supplier. Their pricing/package was almost identical to E7s, and we know what happened there. I figured that at some point Euro1net would struggle to pay the bills in the same way that E7 struggled because they were underpricing their packages.

The one bonus in this case is the immediate cease placed on the lines. At least customers here are not being held to ransom by another ISP offering reconnection (with a new 12 month contract), or a longer wait for a cease.

Certainly the cases of both E7, and Euro1net show that people should be more cautious in their consideration of cheap broadband packages when they are choosing an ISP.

The E1N site http://www.euro1net.com/freebroadband/ is still working.
    It says:-

    Customer Notice
Despite the overwhelming demand for the Talk & Surf package, we would like to re-assure customers that we are still able to meet the lead-times displayed for connecting the services.

    Thank you

Just signed up to AOL Silver this afternoon and had considered Euro1net. Phew! a close one.
I was E7'nd and I feel for anyone going through the credit card claim again. I claimed on Sainsburys (Halifax Bank of Scotland) who are probably the worst of the credit card issuers. If E1N has gone down and you need to claim on your credit card there is guidence on the Financial Ombudsman site.

    @feival

in that case i would sit back and enjoy the sun and your hols :)

Keep an eye on what's happening with Euro1net, both on their status page and over on the Adslguide forum, then sort it out when you get back.
Things will become much more clear in a day or so

Bad luck, sorry to hear it.

If you paid via credit card then there's every chance of getting your money back, but there's the hassle of waiting for the cease to clear before you can go elsewhere.

Read the threads over at Adslguide, particularly this one
