HTC Desire Vodafone 500mb Fair Usage Policy

There is just such an effort to maintain a veneer of being reasonable by Vodafone. Only it's paper thin IMO.

I made it clear when dealing with Lee that i wasn't after haggling, it wasn't a negotiation - he even said the same, but after i rejected the £17.50 offer it got applied to my account anyway (but won't show up till my next bill), i got a call and suddenly after explaining myself again he'd offered another £20 ( a figure i had already mentioned but not proposed).

I've not accepted again, and frankly i suspect i'll just play the game, wait till they try and charge me and then leave. Perhaps by then the stocks of the iPhone 4 will have appeared, or maybe there will be some bargains to be had on an HTC Desire.

For now at least being a Vodafone customer isn't costing me anything!

I checked the msgs I received from Vodafone last night, here are the dates on all of them:

Jun 02
Jun 07
Jun 10
Jun 23
Jun 27
Jun 30

So thats 6 texts about going over my data allowance in one month! Yet some people have had none... consistency at its best!!

I have consumed over 750Mb so far (in about 10 days from month start) and no messages yet !

I too have received second text in 10 days, even though thanks to a poster on here I found out was was eating my data, and since first text I have only used 46 MB. This would keep me well within 500MB over a month.

Well I've just had my first text - so I called c/s to be told that I had only used 336MB. C/S rep said not to worry about it.
I queried how I got the text which said I had already gone over my allowance, she said she didn't know, but categorically confirmed that I had only used 336MB. I'm just so frustrated, as the only way I can find out my current usage is by calling them, and waiting for 15 minutes in a queue to be answered (as happened this morning)
The rep suggested calling 44555, and seemed genuinely surprised that I knew about that service already, and that it didn't show data usage....hmmmmm.
As much as people berate the 3 network, I used them without issue. They have an up to the minute usage system that you can log into at any time, which shows you everything that you have remaining in your allowances - and is bang up to date.
I only changed to VF as the phone I wanted at the time was on a better deal with VF.
Come on VF - get with it, and give us a better system to monitor our usage.

1.5gb in 2 days? That's the kind of use that should be charged, but since Vodafone are treating everyone unfairly go for it !

Had one text last month. The today, i've had 2 - one at 1am. next at 7am and now just got another give or take a few minutes.

Just waiting for the one where they will state I will get charged. I wonder how many texts later that will be?

I wonder if there is any policy, under which these texts are being sent out. Looks like total random to me!

I have now gone 2 months with over 500 Meg usage and still no texts whatsoever!
