Had the same reply from directors office.
So annoying.0 -
I would be tempted to firstly send the same email to:
webrelations@gb.vodafone.co.uk
Then also send a note to the Director's office to say you have submitted the question to the Web Relations team but you are aware others have also done the same and have not had any response which is why it is appropriate the Director's office addresses this issue.
They must really be getting frustrated with us from that response, keep the pressure on, although it seems like we are getting nowhere it appears we are actually getting a lot further than you may think if they want to stop speaking to us on this issue.0 -

New customers have it absolutely clear when they will be charged, but this alteration to existing customers means that i have to agree with people willingly abusing the service, using more data than they would normally - to precipitate Vodafone into charging them.
If Vodafone want to stop this then release to all customers the specific details. If fthere is a change of contract then people can get out with no penalty, if no change then they can't charge people. They are making a rod for their own back by all this mucking about.
I was in contact with the directors office initially, off the back of another customers services debacle, but for the last ~1month i have been dealing with the webteam.
Is there any advantage to dealing with the Directors Office. I actually found them to be less capable of successfully doing anything that the directors office, and both them and the webteam agreed that the like of Tom Rushton were privvy to things in the pipeline that the Directors Office weren't.
New customers know no such tjing sadly. I am on the 500 meg fup. Totally not what I was told I would be on. I have no clue what will happen when I go over this. Dealing with vf is a nightmare. They all say different things and I half of them are just blatantly lying or totally incompetent.0 -

Hi Mr. Lewis,
I certainly understand how important it is for you to receive the update of the current status of your account.
I would like to tell you that you will receive a text alert at 150%, 200% and 250% of your data usage to you that you've exceeded your allowance.
And price plan / bundle with a higher data allowance might be more suitable.
If you continue to break their allowance we’ll let you know that we’re monitoring your data usage and ask you to choose one of the following options:
Upgrade to a higher data bundle or Upgrade to a tethering bundle.
If you're persistently exceed your allowance will be alerted by the credit team that you’ll need to pay over next month at published rates of::
£5 per 500mb for bundle customers
50p per 25MB for non-bundle customers
Trust the above information helps.
I've also attached a short customer feedback questionnaire and would really appreciate your thoughts to help us improve our service and I can assure you, this will be treated in confidence. Just click here to start.
Kind regards,

Having read the reply you got its funny the chap didnt mention anything about the 10% increase which results in cancelling which is what you need to probe for next.0 -

That is quite useful information. Would you reply, perhaps asking now how many times or how many months you will receive these sort of texts before being charged? I think we are finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.
I bet Vodafone only has a tiny number of people who exceed 500Mb, then out of this number it will be an even smaller number who knows about the possibility to cancel, so out of this tiny number in Vodafone's books it will pay them dividends just to start charging people. Even accounting for the lost line rentals in the few who do cancel, I bet many more will just pay up or reduce their usage so Vodafone get more money and less data used.
I got a letter from Otelo today stating they will not take up a case if the operator has made a change in relation to a commercial decision and this refers me in turn to Ofcom. I think this is a major mistake by Otelo and could make things far worse for Vodafone in the long run so I am submitting a complaint to Ofcom as a result.0 -

How will you differentiate a "commercial decision" from a "non-commercial decision" (or is it a business decision?) To me its just words to hide behind!SAY NO TO INJUSTICE !
