HTC Desire Vodafone 500mb Fair Usage Policy

i haven't heard anything from o2 and I too joined them prior to the introduction of the data cap. My Dell Streak canes data like nobody's business and would be practically useless on a 500mb tariff so if they introduce a hard cap (a la vodafone) then once again i'll exercise my right to cancel penalty free.0

If Vodafone had just enabled throttling after 500mb or put a hard cap in at 750mb then it would not have cost them any more money, it would have stopped the abusers, most people on a 500mb FUP would have been completely unaffected, unbothered, and this absurd thread would not exist.
Their justification was that that people using gigabytes were using the service in a way that was disproportionate and unfair. So what do they do, introduce a £5 charge for going one byte over their allowance, which is disproportionate and unfair.
It seems in a way like VF actually WANT to aggravate and antagonise their customers, to offer the absolute minimum possible, and then reduce that if they change their minds, it actually seems like that to me.0 -
Am glad I found this forum, I've been searching around on new providers as my contract is up soon. Now I know to avoid Vodafone and go with a provider who offers at least 1gb. My monthly usage is anywhere between 300-700mb so looks like they would cost me.0

This is an old thread, things have moved on a lot since this. All providers have a cap (and usually at 500mb ) now with the exception of GiffGaff (who may in the future) Threes All you can eat, or TMobile Full monty plan.0
