So when do I call Vodafone to find out why they have ignored my recorded delivery letter? And who is best to call, I doubt customer services are going to know much?
They signed for my letter a week ago.
i would suggest you start emailing the directors office - the email address is mentioned several times in this thread. Their responses were timely but generic when i dealt with them but i'm sure they'll have more time to discuss your request now that the bulk of claims are done and dusted. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
Yea, I've emailed them but I've not had nor am I expecting any sort of meaningful reply.
I wonder if Vodafone think we'll put up with this if they pretend we never contacted them?0 -
I emailed the directors office twice a day for about 3 days with no response. I then started a thread on their page on facebook about it and got a response to my emails after about 10 mins! They are still refusing to cancel, but it is in Otelos hands now.0

The resolution I had was my £35 a month contract was converted into a 30 day rolling plan giving me same minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of internet and WiFi hotspots. I now pay £20 a month and have no contract! Yay!0

How did you get them to offer you that?0 -
Well I contacted Vodafone about the staggering bill of £437 they said I had to pay. I was told that it was a mistake and they had fixed it. Got a letter yesterday from Vodafone asking for the final bill of £437! I was like !!!!!!! So i contacted vodafone asking for my final bill amount thinking the letter hasnt been updated. However it is still the same amount!
I emailed vodafone today telling them that I am sick of being lied to, and showed them a copy of previous emails. I advised them that my direct debit had been cancelled and that they were getting no payment until they fixed my bill to avoid them having to pay me for overdraft fees.
Useless company. I've left and I still have to put up with their stupid woeful 'customer care'.0 -

I would pleased with that offer as well. I sent them a letter asking them to terminate my account though, so I suspect I wont be offered that. As long as I am not held into a contract for a fixed term which has different terms and conditions to those which I signed for, I don't mind what the outcome is.
How long did it take for somebody to contact you?
I am now 10 days since they signed for my letter, I'm keen to ensure I have a PAC so I can sign with another network before the 30 days notice is up.0 -

They signed for my letter 29 September and contacted me about a week after. Can't remeber exact times. Basically it removes commitment but keeps me as a customer (probably for a long time now) so both Vodafone and Myself have won out. In effect they "gave" me the handset but kept me as a customer.
Since this fiasco I would never get a handset contract. I will always go SIM free using a 0% credit card to buy the handset. Gives you more power not being committed as you can just leave if there is trouble.0 -
Did you suggest this as resolution or was it offered by them?0
