Thats exactly what I was going to suggest, print out your post & take it to the police.

You OWE it to other young girls too, it sounds as if all he's waiting for is the opportunity, you MUST act now before a girl is hurt.

As I have said I can't say too much because I am drained emotionally but also from a safety point of view. This is a fairly unique situation and this man is a an addictive computer user so on the off-chance he has seen this and recognised himself I don't want him to know if I reported him, or didn't, or have or have not and I wouldn't want him to know what the authorities tell me or don't tell me. As I have said other people may be on to it already, the Scout Master, his wife, a parent who saw a strange man peeping through the door the other night, a group of people may have got together to make a complaint, the police may have contacted me on the advice/statement of someone else - sorry for the cryptic nature of what I am saying, hopefully you can grasp what I am saying?

if you haven't done it already don't leave it in the hope someone else has started the ball rolling, you could be thinking the same, don't use the oh but he might be watching me on mse as a reason not to do anything either

AliasGirl, I am concerned that you have made no reference to contacting your commissioners within Guiding. You are doing voluntary work as you hope to get a job with children, so presumably you are hoping for a reference from either your district commissioner or your division commissioner. If you do not inform them, and they find out about this situation (which is entirely possible), they could choose not to give you a reference, or they could state that you have failed to follow the correct procedures in a possible child protection concern.

I am a guider and I can only urge you to keep your commissioners informed. I would suggest a written statement (possibly a print out of your first post).

You have a responsibility to the children in your care, but part of that responsibility is keeping GGUK informed.

I know you are all trying to do the best, but the OP is still young and obviously still freaked out by this man, can you all just cut her some slack?

She has said she is dealing with it, so we should be supporting her rather than hounding her about it:cool:

Again, thanks for the support but please don't say I am making excuses etc. If it wasn't already clear from my previous 2 posts, the matter is being dealt with but I am not saying who is responsible for that and who has been informed because this is a public forum, if I am not going into detail and not making reference to certain things it is for a reason which I have outlined in a previous post. You are all just going to have to trust me on this one.

wellk done chick, and you are right, trust us... and if he is stupid enough to approach you or your family after being spoken to then ring the cops WHILE he is there and get his !!! busted... EVERY TIME....

Well done, and now that things are moving on you are right to keep things confidential, for legal as well as personal and safety reasons. Trust those in whose hands the problem now lies.
