AliasGirl, no one, especially myself, thinks your a bad person. It takes a lot to write /speak about what you have and still are experiencing.
You are a very brave young woman and should be proud of yourself for oding what you doing. I myself have been involved with the police after a similar happened to myself and a few friends. It is painful because of the emotions involved , but i just wanted to say again I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU FOR ACTIONS SO FAR, you are OBVIOUSLY a caring person who DOES NOT want ANYONE TO SUFFER THE WAY YOU HAVE.

If you ever need to chat or any support of any kind, please do not hesitate to contact me. We are all here for you xxxx

Thank-you, I will. But I should point out this man is not officially anything to do with the scouts, he isn't present with the kids whilst a meeting is on etc. He is an odd job man and he has no reason to be there on an evening or weekend. He is supposed to fix things during the day (the leader lets him in) when the kids are at school and not be around them (except for the gang shows). The other night when he was there when the children were in the scout leaders wife told him the Scout Leader was with the Scouts and to wait outside. At this stage, I could leave, but there is no way I am leaving and letting him still be there.
However much the Scout Leader believes he is not near the children, he is and the children will see him as part of their 'safe' environment rather than a stranger they should be wary of.
I am sure the police etc will take your concerns seriously - official attitudes have changed a lot since you were a child.

Aliasgirl - would you like any of th children in your charge to have written what you have had to write about?

Report this man to the police - whether or not he has aspergers/mental health problems, you must consider the children in your care - and treat them with more concern and care than those adults who should have been looking after you.

AliasGirl you need to report the behaviour of both the stalker and the group leader to the Scout Association and the Police. I can't believe that having been alerted to the problem more than once and by more than one person the leader has chosen to ignore it. In some ways this behaviour is more disturbing than that of the stalker as a lot of parents and children will trust that the group is being led safely when it obviously isn't.

Report him to the police asap. When I was a teenager there was a dodgy bus driver who used to hold my hand, and make pervy comments when I paid him on the bus.
It scared the hell out of me, but I was too naive to complain.A few years later he was in the paper, as he was going to prison for abusing young girls, as he had run a youth club and had easy access to them :(:(

No one blames you for not going to the police before. You were just a child, and then a teenager stuck with non-supportive people around you. Of course you didn't go to the police.

But now you are an adult you have to, to protect both the children around you, and yourself. Stalking is now illegal. The police HAVE to take this seriously. Continue reporting all incidents. Every time you are followed etc. If you ever feel scared/creeped out call the police on 999. They will come. I've called them before now when being followed just as a one-off event, and they were fantastic.

They could help get an injunction to keep this man away from you. They can stop him being around children.

Your friend who he made the creepy comment about should also go.

And you HAVe to go to the HQ of the Scouts Assoc. with this. Your scout leader is placing you and these children at risk out of embarassment about tackling the issue. Some people would rather stick their heads in the sand and pretend it's not happening. This can't continue.

    Be brave.

OP well done for coming to the conclusion of needing to involve the police, but when?
You've been posting on here this afternoon looking for helpful advice, and everyone has suggested the police now get involved.
