you can try your luck and see what happens0

The 1gb speed is throttled thats the diff! The reseller 1gb is only for new customer upgrades arent affected no matter where they buy the phone!0

Yes after receiving my Galaxy S from Buy Mobiles about a week ago I called CS before opening the handset as I did not want throttled speeds...not too bothered about 1 or 3GBs but anyhow nice lady said I am on 1GB to which I replied I have an Android handset should I not be on 3GB and she said yes I'll sort that out
. I was not asked where I purchased the handset but it depends who you get on the CS and how helpful they want to be.
I was hoping you would not say that lol, has anyone here tried to get a third party contract onto the 3GB FUP in the past few days?
and is there any diffrence between the 1GB and 3GB apart from the size?0 -

I might go for it then, one last question (yes I know ive asked a lot, but i dont want to be stuck in a rubbish contract for 24 months)
Does anyone know what the throtteled speed is?
and what the normal speed is?
Want to know if its still useable in the worst case scenario, thanks form members, youve been great help, I might stick around0 -
normal speed is round 1.2-1.8 mb throtteled is less than 1mb0

Now when I tried to get it changed by phoning 150 I got the no we cant do that as you bought it from CPW. So the next day I e-mailed the t-mobile cs team and had a callback in 30 mins saying they dont normally, but they will put me on a special promotion for the 3gb, and they then said I could change my internet booster to some other booster.
So try 150 1st if no luck then e-mail the CS team and try. Also, the 1.2 to 1.8 will depend mind where you are when you use the internet. I get 1.8 when I am at home, but when I go 10 miles down the road I only get 1.3. And some places I dont that speed, but the slower speeds. It all depends where you are when you use the service I think.0
