Assuming they've actually done what they said, does that mean I can switch my "unlimited internet booster" over to "unlimited texts" without having to pay for data use?
    Anyone? Please? :D

My phone, if I send AL to 150 states- xx mins talk time remaining, xx texts, unlimited landlines and unlimited internet.

They should have switched you away from internet booster at the time.

I'm unconvinced a 3GB allowance gives you a jump in speed TBF.

scnoodles, that's what I did. No problems so far.

Do a spees test to check and then swap the booster over.

Flyingscotno1 there is a definate boost in speed with the 3GB allowance. I was getting 350 Kb/s before the swithc. Now I get 1800-2000 Kb/s.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

Never got that, I still get roughly the same speeds before and after to be honest. My speeds before were about 1800kbps!

I'm in the country and haven't had a sniff of a 3G network to test speed on. Having said that, I was in Bristol at the weekend and never saw a 3G network while I was there, which makes me a bit suspicious.

They said they'd switched me to Web and Walk Plus, and I got them to confirm it via Twitter. Nothing on my account indicates that though, and I still have "unlimited internet" ticked. I'm a bit wary of changing it to "unlimited texts". The tick box isn't uncheckable either. Is that normal? :S

I think I did something by sending a text to change the bundle to unlimited texts.

After much consideration I decided to take the risk and order my HTC Desire with T-mobile via a 3rd party seller to get a great deal. I was prepared to be stuck with the 1GB FUP if it came to it. Phone arrived today (from Mobile Phones Direct - excellent service) and I called T-mobile to register it. Didn't even have to ask for the 3GB limit. As soon as I said I had a Desire she asked what I wanted my booster to be. I asked what the FUP was and she confirmed 3GB.:j

Did you choose the internet booster with Mobile Phones Direct or something else?

I wonder if one way to help the system work correctly would be to choose a non-internet booster, then when you register the phone with T-mobile ask whether you get the 3gb?

I bought my HTC Desire from Mobile Phones Direct. After a little chat with T-Mobile Customer Services, they added web'n'walk Plus to my account and set my free flexible booster to unlimited texts. Just be prepared to stand your ground when you phone them. Be firm but polite and direct them to the following URL's if they refuse:

    http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/boosters/
    http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/fairuse/?WT.mc_id=fup#fup2

Asking to speak to their manager can help too.

    They have changed the FUP!!!

    It now says:
"You'll get internet on your phone Plus included if you join us on a pay monthly plan with an Android phone in a T-Mobile store, over the phone or via our website, t-mobile.co.uk"

It didn't used to say that.
