Who did you upgrade with? And what did you tell cs?? I upgraded with buymobilephones.net to the galaxy s and was automatically put on web and walk plus which is the 3gb allowance for android phones and picked unlimited landline as my free additional booster! They said you automatically get the 2 boosters same as going direct if you upgrade buts it harder when being a new customer

    Is it only upgraded?

I purchased a new contract through buymobilephones.net in May 2010, and they put me on 1GB FUP.

Although I had seen the thread, foolishly I hadn't got around to calling tmobile until today, and now realised the T&C are updated, so not sure what chance I have to argue the case.

Yeh i was talking about upgrades! With new customers try and not tell them you bought from a reseller just say you have a andrioid phone and was wondering what boosters you have and what your net fup is! It might be that your reseller which happens alot said you have a non android phone whrn registering the imei and so you got put on thr 1gn allowance best to find out what phone they have for you on the system! I would phobe again and try what i said let me know wgat happens
  • Sorry to do a bit of necro-posting, but I'm OK because i've got the 3gb under the FUP, BUT (and this is a big BUT) they appear to have changed the FUP around the end of last month (I got mine on the 22nd July and got the old FUP)

    The new policy says...

"You'll get internet on your phone Plus included if you join us on a pay monthly plan with an Android phone in a T-Mobile store"

The old one didn't mention who you had to buy it from.

Anyone have an old cached version?

Try emailing CS. I did it and worked for me. I explained that when I joined Tmobile the T&C said all android phones get 3GB and since then the T&C are updated.

I received a reply back saying "no problem, I have put you onto 3GB plan".

Tmobile CS on the phone weren't interested, but tmobile email CS were fine.

    Good luck!

i hope you argued for your free flexible booster, too!? As you're using an android phone, the internet is always on, so you get another free booster. Even though they've changed their terms, they are still bumping people up to the 3 gig fup and extra booster if they call and say they've got an android phone. Just don't mention where you got it from. Don't forget to ring tech support too, to get the data transfer restrictions removed. on 1gig, you're stuck at 350kbps. on the 3gig fup, you get unlimited speed.

The first question the CS rep will ask is where you purchased from? You can't pretend you purchased direct from tmobile, as their computer screen in front of them will tell them you purchased from a 3rd party.

Speed was actually the main reason I wanted to move to 3GB FUP.

I didn't have to contact tech support seperately, it was all done together.

I wasn't asked when I phoned up about mine. :p
