HTC ACE due October
Is this HTC Ace an upgrade mobile phone to the Desire or is it lower down the HTC range?
In what way is it better than the Desire? There is another Post on the forum with a video of what the Ace may look like, however I cannot post a link as a new user.

Any luck with changing this? I am due to get a phone with the unlimited internet and I am pretty sure it will be 1gb so I am going to have to ring them to see what they say.
The fact is they need to tell what the data plan is when you order from the likes of buymobilephones/mobilephonesdirect there don't say when you select the unlimited internet option of the limits. Other providers such as orange/vodafone detail the limit 500mb or 1gb but for t-mobile its unlimited. Ontop of that they have two caps 1gb and 3gb and then the speed throttling is what is a deal breaker for me I am not too worried about 1gb I think that should be enough!!
Hi, yes I managed to get it changed yesterday like I posted in this thread. I e-mail the T-Mobile CS and had a phone call back in 30 mins, and they said they dont normally but will for me as a goodwill gesture. So I am on 3gb without the speed throttle and I got the 1gb net booster changed to unlimited texts.
When I phoned 150 I had no joy changing it mind, so try the e-mail route 1st.0 -

My download speed has risen from a max of 78 KB/s to 1.88Mbps, quite a jump.
The only trouble I have had with T-Mobile is understanding the accents in customer services and they with my welsh one.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
I guess the next thing about whether to wait till October for the HTC Ace HD phone, is what sort of cost comparision it shall have with the Desire. At the moment the Desire is £285 from O2.....
Any ideas?

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick here or maybe I missed a few posts, but is the situation that if I buy an android phone direct from T-Mobile I automatically get 3gb data at full speed but if via a reseller (eg Mobilephonesdirect) the data will be capped at 1gb and throttled; but I might be able to blag it afterwards by calling T-Mobile?
Hope someone can clarify
ThanksUh?0 -

Try e-mailing them first though at there e-mail CS as you may get the special promotion to the 3gb. Phone dont look to be successful as they stick to the buy from them line to get 3gb. Hope this helps.0 -
