buymobilephones.net have the same offer....
I think you are fine if you use your common sense, read the T&C's especially the cashback and are prepared to jump through their hoops without moaning about it.
Thats why most people moan - the cashback.0 -
Before buying a HTC Desire I would recomend you do a search for "desire rebooting issue" and find out there are major problems with this phone. Best avoided for now.0

ha! good one. best avoid all phones for now then "iphone antenna issue" "motorola froyo update issue" "samsung multi-tasking slowdown issue" "etc"
there is no phone without fault. the few unlucky people who experience issues with their mobile phone do not speak for the vast majority who simply purchase, enjoy, and never bother to post on an internet forum about how they think the handset is fine.0 -
OK to be fair my Desire was sent back to HTC who changed the motherboard and returned in very quick time. Since doing this the phone has performed faultlessly.
There are however a large number of owners who have had the reboot issue, so presumably HTC have fixed the fault and are installing new hardware in the faulty phones.
So at the moment I am back to liking the phone again, apart from the dismal battery life, but I believe that applies to most smart phones.0 -
Best phone i have ever had, all the iphone users i know always ask me loads of questions about it and try and compare, wonder why!0

The brown one is £250 at phones4U plus a £10 O2 sim. Not too shabby.0

Have seen one for those who dont like redemption cashback -
can get it for £17.98 a month from Orange with a £49.99 upfront cost - appears to be a £5 discount on the Orange website price0 -
If anyone is still looking, I recently found a deal using MoneySuperMarket.
Black HTC Desire
24 month contract
900 mins
Unlimited texts
1Gb data
£20/month or £16.67/month is you mess about with cashback (sending in ALL bills I think).
The only downside is you do it through AffordableMobiles, who are right !!!!!, but as the deal is still pretty solid even without the cashback it's not too much of a problem.0
