Any info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Mobilephonesdirect e-mailed again, said they were expecting small amounts of stock next week and that these would be going to people who ordered early july. Also said the next batch would be early september. I like the way they keep saying, we did say allow 14 days, even though when i ordered it said 5 days and if i don't get it until sept it will have been a month.0

I know how you feel, I put an order in with buymobilephones and mobilephonesdirect and kept getting put off, I was waiting nearly 6 weeks, so I had enough and went to CPW as they had stock. Only drawback was I had to pay £90 for the handset but I got fed up waiting and being told we are waiting.
I know it is not there fault, it is production and demand for the phone is high, but if I had waited for them then I would have been close on 2 months or more as I ordered late July. Plus I got the AMOLED screen.0 -

Ordered Tues night at 7.45pm, arrived Thurs morning at 7.45am.
There's an Orange logo on the back of the phone and various bits of Orange software within the OS. I haven't had too much time toplay with it yet but seem fairly happy with it (think I'll have to look for a bigger keypad though.)0 -
Any luck with changing this? I am due to get a phone with the unlimited internet and I am pretty sure it will be 1gb so I am going to have to ring them to see what they say.
The fact is they need to tell what the data plan is when you order from the likes of buymobilephones/mobilephonesdirect there don't say when you select the unlimited internet option of the limits. Other providers such as orange/vodafone detail the limit 500mb or 1gb but for t-mobile its unlimited. Ontop of that they have two caps 1gb and 3gb and then the speed throttling is what is a deal breaker for me I am not too worried about 1gb I think that should be enough!!newsgroup_monkey wrote: »When I spoke to them, they did appear to know where it came from.
Apparently, on another thread, someone said that they got more joy from T-Mobile CS Email.
Also, you might want to try their Twitter team. They seemed pretty helpful to me.0 -

thanks for that info. I believe its most probably locked on to the orange network, orange logo and orange software would suggest this.
Thank you again for getting back to me.0 -
Hi,
My wife has been trying to get a decent deal from Tmobile retentions and has always led to a dead end until last nite.
She got offered an HTC Desire on £20/month (24 month contract) and £70 for the handset. She will hopefully pick up the handset instore on Sat. (there goes the extra snooze time)
My father inlaw 2 months back got the HTC Desire also from Tmobile for £22/month(18 month contract) for £100.0 -
I managed to get an HTC Desire through T-Mobile, but had to go to Carphone Warehouse to actually get the handset.
I originally rang to upgrade on July 16th and was told that, due to my loyalty discount, I could get the handset free with 900 mins, unltd texts and unltd internet for £23.50pcm. I ordered the handset and was told it would be about a fortnight, which I said I could deal with.
13 days later I called to ask about the progress and was told they'd had no stock but it would be likely they'd get some the following day and would be able to dispatch shortly after. I called again the following Tuesday having still heard nothing and was told by the CS rep I spoke to that they were struggling for stock and were now telling customers upto 4 weeks wait, but I could try either a T-Mobile store or Carphone Warehouse who could both do my upgrade.
The following day I went to the local CPW and arranged my upgrade. They had 1 in stock and I was offered either £30 for the handset + £23.50pcm over 24 months or free phone + £24.50pcm over 24 months. Seemed a no brainer to me, so I am paying £24.50pcm.
To highlight the shortage of stock - CPW had one in stock when I went in, which I was fortunate enough to take home.0
