Hi chaps, just a bump to see if anyone has spotted anything else? Feel free to thank me for bringing the thread back to lifeI am qualified lawyer, but nothing I post here should be construed as legal advice. I am simply trying to point people in the right direction as opposed to giving them accurate legal advice.

As I mentioned in the main Desire thread. Existing O2 customers can get a Desire SIM free, direct from O2, for £285. Even if you're not an O2 customer, you can get this deal on a 1 month SIMplicity. At least, this has been the case for the last 2 weeks.0

You need to make a lot of phone calls and speak to a lot of people before you even get a sniff of this deal. It seems only a few reps are aware of its existance.
IF ( and I say that with hesitation ) you do manage to secure the offer. The phone will arrive in an unsealed box and 'may' show signs of use.
Just be aware of that before you charge in thinking its a good deal0 -
It took me 3 attempts. The key is not to even hint at it being an upgrade you're asking them for. Mine's due to arrive today, I'm aware some are arriving unsealed, but if the handset shows signs it's not brand new, there'll be hell to pay.0

Hi Phannon666
What number did you dial and what options did you select to get to right team to buy the desire.
Thanks

Was yours unlocked but 02 branded ? Some are branded and locked, some are branded but unlocked.
But the ones in the sealed box's appear to be unbranded and unlocked ( ie generic HTC firmware ).
That might....just might point to the branded units being refurb's and the generic ones being new stock direct from HTC.0 -
@shafeeq I got mine by calling 202, options 2-2-2
@swilliam Unfortunately I have no idea yet, as DHL have the mental capacity of a boiled egg.0
