Next are acting really stupid now:mad: Do they put on this act to get a few extra charges in or what? I had a letter of confirmation from them that the payment plan was set up and the dates to pay but they are saying they haven't received the first payment from CCCS, only the one for May and haven't refunded the charges applied for not paying the first instalment, even though CCCS have sent it.:mad::mad: I must check the dates of the letter unless there has been some cross over where the payment was sent by CCCS before they had confirmed the plan was set up. Will do that now, I'm having a clutter clearing day, and having a blast!

Andy, hope the wee man is responding well to the meds:)

LJM23K I had a couple like that where the demand letters have been sent and have crossed over with CCCS. I have not heard form NEXT myself quite tempted to email them to see if they have accepted the offer from CCCS. Not sure if I should just keep my head below the parapet.

    Hi everyone

This is a bit off the subject of DMP but its about saving money:

If you need Petrol this weekend go to WM Morrisons they are selling it at 113.9 p per litre 5p saving on other fuel stations here up North.

    Regards

    Hi

Thought you all would like to see this. A DMPer who has just paid everything off.

So even with all our doubts and worries this shows it can be done.

  • Good evening folks, I enjoyed the article re. the DMPer who is no debt free, kind of inspiring.
A quick SCHITI update, we are now at the stage where a month after being sent the offer Payplan has now had to fax them another SOA and offer, SCHITI as Mikon will testify, continue to stagger me with their inability to focus and I have repeated myself 7 times to 7 different people in the Collections department all to no avail.
    Utter buffoonary.

    I feel very inspired!

TBH I have been thinking that I could possibily increase my monthly payments but I will wait and see how things go for another couple of months as things aren't totally settled yet, almost though! I have a secured loan of £110 per month with 12 payments left and a HP agreement ending around the same time, so this time next year I will be increasing by about £140 anyway.

I've heard though that if the creditors are getting almost the min payment, they start to add interest again. If that was the case I'd be better saving for F&F's, don't you think?

yup you are right, it seems that the nearer you come to the minimum payment, the more likely the lovely creditors to add interest.

My plan is to save for f&f and then CCA to check for unenforcability then offer low f&f, does this make sense, and anyway a while in the future, but anyway a plan!!!

mmmm, F&F's seem the better option, are you going to do one at a time?

the extra takes 2 years off my dmp, but if I could get F&F's accepted for less than the balance, that would be better and I certainly don't want to pay interest again as I would be getting close to the mins. Time to invent a kind relative!:rotfl::rotfl:

Be back later, kids to scrub and stories about tiger cubs who don't want to go to bed to read...
