Evening all, Well what a day!

Noticed last night that sons mouth was a bit funny seemed to be talking out the side so thought I'll see in morning, so this morning whole side of face droopy and not moving:eek:, took him to doctors who said take him to hospital so have been there all day. He has bells palsy and has to take steriods, some sort of viral medicine and eye drops, o yes and we've to tape his eye closed in bed:eek::eek::eek: What a nightmare!!!

This really has been the week from hell what with hubbys job and all, can it get any worse!

Got statement from barclaycard today still showing interest, they had told me after I paid my 1st token they would freeze interest:mad: will phone tomorrow, and I must sit down and workout some sort of budget and sort out tax credits with the lower income now.

Oh Andy I'm sending a virtual hug, can't find the dodgy ones on here. Poor wee man, hope he feels better soon. Hope the medicine tastes OK.

Try not to worry about pesky barclaycard, they mean nothing, its only money and they can't have what you haven't got. Concentrate on the family, you all need a group hug and a wee glass of red (obviously not the wee man!!!!), it can only get better next week. Barclaycard only stopped out interest once we had paid the first CCCS payment, I guess they just want to see it set up and running.

So sit down, relax and try not to think about it all, no point in worrying about what might be, if it happens, we'll deal. Loads of support on here.

    Hugs for the wee one

AndyD hope your son gets well soon. But when things like this happen it puts it into perspective your son is much more important than money. I am sure he will be better soon. Hopefully next week will be better and your hubby sorts things out at work. Get your tax credits sorted sooner rather than later.

    Good Luck and Best Wishes

Poor you Andy and poor DS, good luck with taping the eyelid closed! What age is he? If that was my 6yr old DS they would be no chance, but then we have to sit on him to give him medicine, and to brush his and cut his nails, come to think of it.....:rotfl::rotfl:

LJM I remember having to sit on my DD when she was 2 1/2 to keep her still long enough to have antibiotic eye drops. It took two of us, one to sit the other to hold her arms. Poor thing, think we probably scared her for life :rotfl:

Thankyou all so so much for your support, I feel like we have all been friends for years and I can tell you anything.:T

LJM DS is 7 and I have to say he has been a very brave boy today and has taken his medicines very well and 1 of them is soluble tablets so I dont imagine they are very nice, just need to keep an eye on him over next couple of day with the meds as they are quite high dosage, He just heading to bed now as wanted to keep him up for a while after medicine so here goes the eye taping:D

Mikon yes it really does put it all in perspective, he is a mad Dr Who fan and has been waiting patiently for the new sonic screwdriver, we had told him he would have to wait till xmas or else save for it himself which he accepted, but today I caved and got it for him on way home from hospital, (how could I not he really has been through the mill today) it was £14.99 and I took it from my shopping budget for the week, the look on his wee face was worth it and I really have no guilt about it cause I paid cash. I really love paying with cash it is such a new feeling for me after using cc's for so long, I can honestly say I never ever ever want credit in my life again, I have tried for so long to just say OK im not going to spend at the shops today but it is only now that I am using my own cash that I can actually stick to it and I dont feel hard done by or that im missing anything at all.

Thanks again for your support guys, I'll keep you posted on how the wee pet is doing.

    Hi Everyone

AndyD hope the little one is better.

Well another mail drop today 3 letters from ARGOS.

To cut things short they have accepted my offer and froze charge and lates fees but will not freeze interest. They have reduced the interest from 27.9% to 9.9% and will review the situation in 6 months. However they did say that they will not contact me CCCS will need to send another SOA in 6 months if they do not receive it they will revert back to the normal charges. Must note it in my diary.

    4 Creditors Accepted

    7 to go

    Regards
