Afternoon,
Thanks to all who helped and advised me yesterday, theres not really much I can do its something that is completely out of our hands, still very down about it all but hey ho just have to get on, glad I had my LBM before this happened dont think I could of dealt with that initial pressure too and I would of ended up in a worse state anyway as I would of just continued to use the cc's to cover the shortfall......o what a mess.
Anyway just going to continue to pay tokens and stick to budget and hopefully something will turn up.
Not sure what his wages will be but should find out by Thurs, then I'll phone tax credits so hopefully get a bit extra there, only problem is we normally qualify to get the free perscriptions and dentist etc, but when I have looked at the P60's for this year we are slightly over so im guessing we will lose that for this year then even though we are going to be earning a lot less than normal can anyone advise?
Thanks once again all.
And mikon that is brilliant news well done and true doubling your dmp payment how ace is that :T:T:T:TDMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Sun is still shining here, so puts me in a good mood to start with. Have also, for the first time, managed to actually work the budget thingy, without starving or being naked!!!! It only took me 40 years to work it out, wow must be a record. I have looked back, and boy was I truly truly dopey, i could batter a bank or 2 for the rotten advice over the years (consolidation my dear, end of all your problems!!!) put your money in a pension my dear (went bust!!!), this is a great savings vehicle (left without me), heigh ho, will kick a branch as I pass, see you all later........
We played the consolidation tango too every couple of years or so....stupid stupid stupid, ahhh well won't do it again, well can't but wouldn't!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
Morning All
back to normal and its cold!!!! Busy day to-day, will keep looking for the pesky wand and well done secret agent, you might have run amuck with the shredder while you were there!!!
Mikon do let us know what mr green comes up with, highly interested to see what excuses he comes up with for the totally chaotic dealings of his people.
Hugs to all who need one or two, see you all laterMore than Two Years in

Hey everyone
I feel a bit anxious as am in limbo at the moment.
Have set up my new bank account and received Debit Card with Co-op, all very easy actually and done over the phone which surprised me.
Havnt managed to get my wages swapped over in time though so have to go into Barclays Friday morning and withdraw all my money , am worried they might say no
Have sent off my paperwork to CCCS 2 days ago so what is the next step , kinda worried that everything is over lapping and its starting to stress me a little bit.
I just want it all done and dusted , I hate the inbetween "not knowing" part
I hope Barclays dont get wind and off set my salary, I havnt sent my CCCS letters off to them or Barclaycard yet but have cancelled all the Direct Debits from my account so surely they will know something is up?
Anyone else have similar situation??
Thanks in advance0 -

Morning Goodegg - welcome to the thread!
Well done on making the first steps to freedom! You are at the inbetween stage so the best I can offer you is a hug and some encouragement that you are going in the right direction.
With regards to Barclays, I don't have any experience but I'm sure they will be fine on Friday. Most banks are pretty slow so I would be very surprised if they'd noticed anything!
Try not to stress too much, although its completely understandable that you will - but before it gets too much, please pop on here and one or other of us will be ready with the advice and dodgy hugs :grouphug:
Keep postingxx

Morning good Egg
Don't worry I really don't think the banks are smart enough to detect anything that quick, just make sure you get the money out as soon as it goes in, can you do some by electronic banking? And they can't say no, its your money. When we started, my office mistakenly paid my salary and expenses to our old accout, and we banked on the internet with them, so I had to do a transfer and sweat like a horse all weekend in case it got offset, but it didn't and it popped into my new account with no bother.
Its horrible at the stage you are at, when everything is sort of up in the air and you're worrying about everything. but it will get better, all of us on here started to deal with our debts this year, you should read through the thread and see the difference in some people, and we've had every calamity possible between us, but we're coming through, and so will you. Nat will be along shortly and you'll get a paddle number, then its welcome to the boat and get paddling!!!!More than Two Years in

Thanks for the advice
Just had to raid my 10p jar to buy a loaf of bread and a pint of milk - Sad times indeed!!
At least the 10p jar had money in it I guess - every cloud and all that lol

Morning ladies and gents!
Well done on finding a name to write to Mikon - hope it pays off for both you and PPP! Meanwhile I sit, feeling grateful that Schiti are not one of mine!
I feel a bit, erm, stuck I guess is the word. I haven't heard anything at all from 4 of the 7. Abbey are a pain in the bum but I think I know whats going on so I'll just carry on as before and HSBC are all sorted, but the rest of them? Nothing. Got to wait another 2 weeks before I can send more tokens and its driving me mad that I'm still having to think about it - just wanted to get standing orders set up and go away and forget about it! Think I'm too impatient for these idiots lol!!
Aaaanyway, as of 7.30pm this evening I have 5 days off :j so apologies in advance if I go a bit quiet over the next few days because DH has "things" planned for me!! The DFW side of me has told him that it better not have cost anything although the "I've been good for ages and I want a treat" side of me is hoping for, oh I don't know, a spa day :rotfl:Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

Welcome Goodegg, defo all been there! I hated the inbetween stage just as much, but like PDD and everyone has said dont worry about the banks, they're so thick they'll prob just think you're moving to another one. As long as you get your wages out and you've cancelled all dds then just sit back and wait for the post.
And whilst where on about post, dont expect lots of happy 'yes we'll accept it' letters straight away. I started back in Feb Ive only just had all my letters back. But as CCCS are doing it all, all I have to think about is making sure their money is in the bank. Try not to worry (I know the impossible!) but it'll be worth it. And if you're lucky you'll be on here in a few months time wondering why you were so anxious in the first place
Morning everyone :j
Very jealous of your holiday time True. Esp like the spa idea... although a bubble bath is probably more my budget :rotfl:
Hiya Mama, wish I could blame DH but as its me doing the shopping now Ive got the car that would be a bit naughty
Talking about DH, we're off out tonight, first proper night out since DS was born. So I stayed up late last night trying on my 'going-out' clothes, only to discover two kids is not good for your figure. Nearly broke the zips!!!! Looks like the budget might have to suffer a little more:D
