Afternoon,
Thanks to all who helped and advised me yesterday, theres not really much I can do its something that is completely out of our hands, still very down about it all but hey ho just have to get on, glad I had my LBM before this happened dont think I could of dealt with that initial pressure too and I would of ended up in a worse state anyway as I would of just continued to use the cc's to cover the shortfall......o what a mess.
Anyway just going to continue to pay tokens and stick to budget and hopefully something will turn up.
Not sure what his wages will be but should find out by Thurs, then I'll phone tax credits so hopefully get a bit extra there, only problem is we normally qualify to get the free perscriptions and dentist etc, but when I have looked at the P60's for this year we are slightly over so im guessing we will lose that for this year then even though we are going to be earning a lot less than normal can anyone advise?
Thanks once again all.
And mikon that is brilliant news well done and true doubling your dmp payment how ace is that :T:T:T:TLBM - March 2010Paddle no. 15 :j0 -

Letter 2 - Opened saw the M & S money letterhead and heart sank. Then I opened it fully and it read
"We are happy to accept the offer CCCS have made on your behalf and we will freeze interest & charges as long as we receive the first payment by 5/7/10 you will continue to receive arrears notice you need take no further action when you receive these"
It states that my final payment is 05/06/11 which I guess is the 1yr review point. Am I right on this.
on this forum for helping me through my low points.
I got exactly the same from M & S. Same dates and everything!
I does seem that they review is after a year, so next June we can see what M & S come up with and come up with a cunning plan for them to be really nice and write the debt off.;)I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

Good News and well done for answering the phone. After speaking with CCCS today I am just going to advise the companies to contact CCCS as they are dealing with my DMP and give them the ref no.
Although the CCCS lady did say that the creditors should deal direct with them and I may not get any further calls.
Well Done and I hope your other creditors give you the 30 days grace, saying that there does not seem any logic in how they apply this rule.
Regards
Thanks Mikon, yes we will stand firm!:p

Andy, am I right in thinking you are over here in NI? If so, prescriptions are free for everyone since April 1st this year anyway, so one less thing to worry about and sorry if I've mixed you up with someone else.....Paddle no. 12

I have a Barclays Card, Barclays Loan & Barclays Overdraft and to date they have been the best immediate hold and removed tel no. at first request. I must admit that I have updated them regularly and they just told me that they will await CCCS to contact them. My 30 days is up at on the 29 May so we will see what happens after that.
Professor Pat Pending advised me in the early days to keep in regular contact and I have and it seems to work. I must admit that I have been firm and my OH has been very firm.
CITI have continued to add interest but what I have not got they cannot have.
I must admit I feel weight has been lifted off my shoulder now I know that CCCS have written and made offers to all my creditors.
So stay firm and refer them to CCCS and if you write I always put this on the bottom of my letters
I have requested both verbally and in writing that my telephone number be removed from all records and that correspondence be conducted in writing as I have children in the house who are not aware of my financial situation and it is difficult to discuss this matter on the telephone in front of them. Could you please make sure my telephone number is removed from all my records/accounts, as I have received telephone calls from your advisors.
If you have any queries regarding this account please contact CCCS on 0845 122 0225 quoting the Ref No.
Good Luck.
I am at the stage now whereby Payplan wrote to the creds yesterday and asked for up to date balances. I am paying my first DMP payment tomorrow by debit card and the following ones by standing order. Then once the creds have confirmed balances to PP then they will make payment offer:eek: My payments are pretty low so am fairly anxious:eek:
Anyway, Payplan have been fantastic so far and so organised and quick.
Whatever happens, yesterday a strange overiding feeling came across me, the relief that I don't have to borrow another circa £500 to rob peter to pay paul this month. That my wages don't just pay of my overdraft again, I can save money towards stuff like mot's, clothing (only £20 but hey...) etc.The searching for a consolidation loan to pay off my debt for the next 25 years!
Even though I know its going to be a tough and long ride I have learnt the lesson I should have learnt 15 years ago! ....at the moment I feel like a different person:jDebt £22k (ish):eek:LBM April 2010DFD - work in progressPaddle no. 26"whether you think you can or you can't, your probably right"0 -

I got that feeling the other day when CCCS notified me that they had wrote to the creditors it was like a weight off my shoulders.
Today I was really pleased at the response from M & S however I have another 10 creditors that may not be as sympathetic, but i will take each day as it comes and deal with each one as it comes.
I have wrote to Mike Green Head of Collections at Citi today to ask him to personally intervene and look at my case and stop the interest and charges re see earlier thread regarding CITI charges.

Mikon.
I'm sure you and CCCS will overcome the creds! I think without this board and knowing that we're all in a similar boat really really helps.
I will be writing to Amex, Barclays and MBNA tomorrow to tell them the good news:p that the lovely ladies at Payplan will be sending them a nice little envelope of their own:cool:Debt £22k (ish):eek:LBM April 2010DFD - work in progressPaddle no. 26"whether you think you can or you can't, your probably right"0
