    Morning all

Just sitting down do go through all my paperwork.....again! thought I'd have a wee catch up first:D

Yes LJM im in NI too so yes suppose its not too bad really only the dentist bit im worried about the way my luck is going I just know that one of us will be needing a filling soon or worse a tooth pulled:eek:, but now thinking rationally about it I guess now that hubby's income will be much less we deffo get the NHS excemption next year so i suppose:j, perhaps if it comes down to it we can just live on pain killers for a year:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. I guess there is no point in thinking about the what if's and just concentrate on the here and now, gosh where did all this positive thinking come from today!!!! I must admit I did consider accidently on purpose putting in the wrong figures on my tax credits to keep me within the limit, but the mere thought of it makes me run to the loo:rotfl:

I too have done the consolodation thing many times, and I've a 2nd and 3rd mortgage on my house, hence I now have a huge mortgage repayment, now how crazy is that I must of been mental, so so so stupid, my only thing is my house is still worth considerebly more that what I owe on it I know many people are sitting in negitive equity, so thats one thing I suppose.....see everything has a silver lining:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Think I have lost the plot today, but it feels better to be crazy that in deep depression!

Away to phone my (old) bank now who just sent me a letter to say they didnt pay one of my mortgage payments cause the funds wernt available, emmmmm yes they were! although they were only put in on the dd due day but still they cant justify charging me £35!

Catch up later, have a nice day all and here have some of my crazy mood:tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue:, its fun:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Quick question,

Is it OK to send ordinary cheques for token payments, my new co-op account gave me a cheque book and I was just going to use these for my tokens to save me the 50p charge per postal order (and the trip to the post office), just a bit worried that it would give away too much information about my new bank account.

    Can anyone please advice.

    Thanks

Im getting a bit !!!!ed off with next. I got the statement and all was as expected following the email at the weekend. There were charges and claims that they had received no payments at all. So I logged into my account online to see that they have now acknowledged a payment but haven't refunded the charges as I was told. AARRRGGHH How stupid are these people??:mad::mad:

Everythings quiet again. Barclays must have lost my phone number and I do miss em:D

All I have to do this week is pay my first "instalment", if that is what you call it at the post office , as my DD was set up just too late for the 1st June and away we go.

Not a lot else to report to be honest. I'm trying to sell stuff, and not getting very far, i'm taking notes from the Up Your Income board and doing surveys and stuff to earn a little extra cash (and it is little). Generally just trying to be better with money and living a frugal life. Which isn't as bad as I thought. Now the temptation of Credit has gone I feel totally different about stuff and possesions and shopping.

Odd. Feel almost free, if that isn't being too dramatic.

No, its not too dramatic at all, I felt the same at your stage. I was paying all my creditors by cheque as well, so every month was total chaos of trying to remember to post on time (and beg/borrow the cash from my parents:eek:) so one payment by DD makes life so simple!

Oh, I should also say this about next. Was mikon having trouble with phone calls from them? Well, I told them at the very start of my DMP that my preferred method of correspondence was email and when I logged into my account today, my phone number is no longer there, so fingers crossed for everyone!!!

    Hello all :)

just a little update from me,I had my welcome pack from cccs today and I have made my first payment.

Still had a few letters from creditors demanding payments but for now I'll just wait an see what happens when the payment is made to them,a few creditors have gone quiet now so that's nice anyway!

Think I will be mega skint this month as work forgot to pay my petrol claim grrr but on an upside I have overpaid on my student loan so should get a refund for that soon.

Hope you are all okay, I can't thank you all enough for your support I feel like I have made some real friends even if we have never met

    Xxxxxx

    Hi everyone

Regret70 - Good news did you get the feeling that something had been lifted off your shoulder.

ljm23k - Next have sent me emails. CCCS have made them an offer just waiting to see if they accept fingers crossed. But thanks for the info I have requested that they remove my number.

Eyeopener2 - Glad it has gone quiet for you.

Professor Pat Pending - Hope you get some sense out of CITI I have not heard anything from them.

    Just an update from me

HFC rang today to inform me that they will accept 1 offer but have not received the second offer. Found this strange as they were both sent by CCCS on the same day. Contacted CCCS and they informed me that some companies do not receive them at the same time because they send them in bulk. They advised me just to leave it a few days.

Abnyway HFC said they will put the second account on hold until mid June or until they receive info from CCCS

So 2 down 9 to go.

Hope everyone is fine and have had a stress free day.

    Regards

    Quite this evening on here.

Well I have sent my final 3 postal orders off this will make sure that all my creditors have received a payment during the setting up of my DMP. All my June payments will be via CCCS. So I guess that is one chapter of this episode closed and a new chapter opening.

What I will say is that people in the early days when I was stressed, uptight, worried sick, having panic attacks and continuos headaches used to say

"things will get better once your DMP is set up or once your creditors have received official notification or their first payment" Well I am living proof that at this point in time it does get better, I am not saying I am over the worst and I am sure i will have the odd hiccup or two and things will go a little hairy.

But what I do want to say is anyone reading this thinking about embarking on a DMP do it you will wish you had done it years ago and you will feel a sense of relief and achievement once the DMP is up and running.

Secondly the need to share your debt problems with your partner is paramount you cannot keep it hidden they will be dark days when you will need each other and therefore it is imperative you share your problem.

Finally join in this forum and get the support that I have had and you will realise that you are not alone and that other people are in the same boat and these people can also help and support you through the dark days of creditors chasing you.

Share your dark moments but also like I am at the moment share you brighter moments such as a creditor has accepted my offer. It does not seem much to you but when it happens you feel great and you get a burst of energy that uplifts you and gives you the confidence to move on and slowly forget about being on a DMP. You then end up living a normal life again but this life is a one without debt.

Sorry for ranting on but i felt i needed to put it down for others to read.

    Regards
