I have also been pleased with the service from Quidco so am not knocking them at all.
As Karluk has said maybe because O2 have received an overwhelming demand for these sims, combined with the BH weekend might be the reason why tracking is slow.
When I contacted O2 about about my intial bill and the fact that the SIM had not arrived they were quick to respond and credit my account accordingly0 -
I have loads of enquiries with Topcashback which were never paid and they make very little effort to extract payment whether it traced on their site or not (mine did, but it means nothing; even some which tracked and then confirmed went to zero for no reason and Topcashback were absolutely useless).0

Hi all
Just wanted to start by saying that I've used TopCashBack for a few years now and so far have always found them to be very helpful and work hard to ensure cashback is paid out.
I think this time however, O2 have been overwhelmed with the take up of the offer and combined with the Bank Holidays, is the reason for the slow tracking.
My cashback has also not tracked yet from my order on 31st March...hopefully will appear next day or so. SIM card also not received due to Bank Holiday post. Already received first bill from O2 (which is automatically generated after placing the order) for £27.42 which is made up of £2.42 (1st April to 3rd April) plus £25 for the next month (4th April - 3rd May)...contacted O2 via live chat as I wasn't happy being charged yet as I haven't got the SIM, when I explained the situation, my account was credited with £5 (which refunds the charges from 1st up to about the 6th April) - will be back on to them if the SIM doesn't arrive by Wed 7th.
On TCB, with 'slow to show' transactions I like to check whether my 'click through' to the retailer' was actually logged correctly. (Not clearing cookies before visiting the retailer via TCB causes the most problems I think). Not sure if there is an easier way to do this but this is what I do:- In Overview, click on Enquiries > Cashback Claims > Submit a new missing cashback claim > I can see no mention of my Transaction... > Submit a missing cashback enquiry > Submit missing cashback claim > tick box and then click on Submit missing cashback claim button
- On the next page you can select from a list of retailers you have visited (hopefully O2 will be listed) and then select the date you clicked through to O2 > click continue and then the next page lets you select the actual time you clicked through to O2 (I then click back so as to stop short of actually submitting the claim at this point).
.
As we all know, other cashback sites are available but I don't use any other as some charge a fee and any cashback offered on their site can be matched by TCB.
By the way, I don't work for TCB (if anyone was wondering) but just appreciate the service they offer and the fact that they give us the opportunity to get this cashback in the first place.
On a final note though, I will cancel the contract with O2 within 14 days of receiving the SIM if no cashback has tracked, as I wouldn't personally risk being locked into the deal without definate confirmation that the cashback will be paid.
Lets see over the next few days...have faith!
Thanks for this helpful information.
I placed an order on 31 March, no confirmation or Sim received yet but when I telephoned 02 they tell me it has been sent out! My sister had the same problem with a Sim she ordered from the Quidco offer and 02 have cancelled the sim and are sending her another one as they said she should have received it by now and it may have been lost in the post so they have cancelled it to prevent any unauthorised use of the sim and charges.
I plan to do what you say and cancel if not tracked within the 14 days as not worth £25 pm to me unless I get the cashback. We seek a world in which everyone with HIV/AIDS can live an abundant lifeWant to join us?0 -

I have to say I can't agree as I have always found them extremely helpful and prompt to reply. Have been a member approx 18 months and not had any problems receiving my cashback and can only speak as I find.We seek a world in which everyone with HIV/AIDS can live an abundant lifeWant to join us?0 -
Submitted a missing claim and received this email...
Just to let you know that we have received your Missing Commission enquiry for O2. Your claim has been put 'On Ice' pending a validation period required by the merchant,
we will automatically send off your query once this validation period has elapsed.
Status: On Ice. You will need to log back in to submit this claim after 30 Apr 10)
If you notice your cashback has been added to your account, or if you wish us to stop persevering in trying to get this cashback, please can you close the claim in the enquiries section.
If, however, you do urgently need to send us more information regarding this enquiry, then please only do so via your claim details page, by logging into your account and posting a message against your claim.
Any incorrect details may be used by the retailer as a reason not to pay the commission.
I would just like to take this opportunity to remind you that TopCashBack merely acts as a 'go-between' for yourselves and the retailers/retailers agents. The decision on whether to award manual commission is not made by ourselves, but by the retailers and their agents.
Kind Regards,
TopCashBack Enquiries Team0 -
When you filled in the missing cashback claim form, did you oput purchase value at £0.00? Because my first bill is actually £27.42, and the monthly cost is £25, but the order itself was nothing. Also, what does it mean exactly when it asks for my account reference? It says nothing of this in any emails from o2.
And the request being put 'on ice' until April 30th is BS. If it doesnt track within 2 weeks of my sim arriving then I'm cancelling, as sad as that would be. People say this cashback business is risky but essentially TCB 'guarantee' it, so it doesn't seem logical or even legal to then pass on liability to the merchants if they refuse to pay up. It seems like fraud to me.0 -
I put £25 as my value - not sure if this was the right thing to do or not!! I looked through my emails from o2 and I had an account reference, there was an order ID in the body of the email and also a reference in the email title of one of them. Hope that helps.
And yeah, not v happy about the on ice until 30th April either0 -

I can't even submit a missing claim enquiry with Quidco.I have to wait 28 days before doing that.
Doe anybody know what would be the best way to see if Martin might be able to step in on this occasion and maybe give us some assistance?0 -
Thanks LisTT. I noticed the order number straight away but still cant find my account reference in any emails. What does it look like, ie the format? In the subject line of 2 of the emails there is in brackets a longer code/number, starting with KMM... could this be it? otherwise is it merely our o2 usernames?
I think i will put 0.00 as the purchase value as thats whats written on the order confirmation email. They know its a £25/month contract so I think that's enough, plus we haven't actually paid any money yet so...
I've heard that TCB are pretty good at getting your cash so we probably would get it in the end if we didn't cancel the contract, but still its not certain, especially when they say things like:
"TopCashBack merely acts as a 'go-between' for yourselves and the retailers/retailers agents. The decision on whether to award manual commission is not made by ourselves, but by the retailers and their agents."
It sounds to me like they're trying to cover their backs here. There is no cash back guarantee, its simply pre-sale gash talk.
diddlyidi, not sure how we can get anyone to do anything, maybe there's a contact address for MSE?0 -
I have just logged into to my topcashback earnings and seen that it has a date of 31/03/2010 and a transaction of 1 x £25, purchase amount £0.00, top up amount £0.00, cashback £25, it shows it is pending and a payable date of 31/05/2010 is this normal I thought I would get all of the £200 at once or am I wrong
I have not even got the simcard yet and they are taking out £27.42 approx 18th April.
Comments please.
Regards
