and as a forum, many people may start looking to see whether they have a valid claim against TCB/O2 for the £200 cashback. For example, where a transaction has been tracked by TCB and a contract taken with O2, how can each prove the £200 is not due?

I ordered my SIM on 31/3 and now a week later it's still not arrived (but I've been billed already), and no TopCashBack tracking.

I also am considering cancelling it within the 14 days if TCB hasn't tracked by then, and going back to Quidco for all my purchases in future. (I ordered a SIM the week before when Quidco had their offer, and that has tracked).

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot TCB.

Even my Sky+HD hasn't tracked and installation was on 29 March. That was £65 cashback. I cleared my cache before ordering and it did track from TCB.

my SIM still hasn't arrived, though O2 started charging me from 30 March.

the other problem is nothing is showing at Topcashback and i have opened an enquiry with them. But they don't look at it until 28 days in order to give the retailer time to send the cashback. However, this means you are then out of the returns period of 14 days with O2. So you could be waiting and not get the cashback after the enquiry hence you're stuck with the 12 month contract OR you could cancel within the 14 days and possibly lose the cashback (but you'll never know then).

what a load of rubbish this £200 cashback deal has been.

i also get the feeling O2 have held onto completing contracts until after the 31 March (i.e. from 1 April) so that they pay less cashback because Topcashback will then say you only had until midnight 31 March to complete, even though the order may have been made earlier. I applied at 11pm 30 March and got an email on 1 April that my order is complete, meaning i may be out of the cashback time. But what was O2 doing for the 2 days? Usually these emails are sent almost immediately (i got a contract with O2 a few weeks ago and i got confirmations within 5 minutes).

Still no tracking on mine either : (

And still no SIM. I contacted o2 today to say that my SIM was yet to be received yet I have been charged from the 3rd April - they have credited my next bill with £5 to cover the period where I've had no service but been charged, not much but at least its something.

Hoping the SIM has arrived when I return home and that the cashback tracks soon or not sure what to do!!

    Hi,

I am having the same issue. £27.50 bill, No SIM card, No tracking. I ordered mine at 10pm on 31.3.2010. I just submitted an enquiry with TCB and I got the following response:
    Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately the merchant will not accept claims prior to this time period and I can fully understand a members concern, given the amount of cashback involved here.

I am sorry that you have had an untracked transaction and hope if you choose to keep this transaction going that it will be a successful claim for you.
I originally asked if they could expedite it so that I got a tracking prior to 12th April (otherwise I have to cancel). This is not the reply I was hoping for based on what Adam said earlier in the thread. I am not prepared to leave £200 to luck frankly. I'll give it till 12th and if its not tracked then I'm canceling.

This is a bit of a shambles to be honest. TCB and O2 should get this sorted quick. how can they expect people to have "faith" and the such like when we are talking mega bucks here. Funny how O2 managed to get me setup so fast and bill me so quickly. Shame they cant fulful the whole deal so quickly and recognise the tracking. Funny that!!!

    Regards
    Paul

Luckily, my transaction has tracked, but even though I ordered early on the 31st March, I still have no sim. they say they sent it on the 1st April. Funny how so many have not received their sims, is the Royal Mail really that bad these days? (don't answer that.....)

Their response is to go into an o2 store, pay for a sim, and then email them to activate it, and have any outlay refunded. I'm prepared to hang on a few more days to avoid the hassle of having to do this.
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

fonejacker they also said I could go to the O2 shop and get a sim and they would activate it, which I did do.
You are not charged for the sim, the guy in the shop said I was the 3rd person today to do it.
I have also been refunded £7 as I'm in the same boat as you, mine has tracked from the 31st but it only says £25 atm, I'm hopefull it till be changed later as previously by the company rep. :)

For those who has submitted an enquiry ticket, this is topcashback's reply (to mine). It is obvious now that if yours had not tracked by early next week, I'll suggest cancel the contract just to be safe. If you take a new £15 contract with £25 cashback now, it will only be half the cost of this £25 contract without cashback. So think wisely whether you really need so many minutes.
    Hi

Thanks very much for the extra information you have provided.

I will now prepare your claim to be submitted as part of our next batch on the 16/04/2010. You should receive an e-mail on this day to notify you that you claim has been sent. Can we please ask that, if possible, you refrain from posting any further messages until you have received this notification as this may hold up your claim. Please let us know as soon as possible if you notice any incorrectly entered information.

    Thanks,
    Top CashBack

Just phoned up 02 and cancelled my order....order went through 30/03/10 and still no SIM. Not really bothered about the £200 cashback from TCB. It had tracked but F*** it !!

Crap service with 02 and they were charging you from the date of order for a product that most people don't seem to have yet.

Funnily enough I have a contract with 02 and recently lost my phone....they sent me a replacement SIM and I received it next day....

Seems to be something afoot here with this Whopping cashback offer... are they making the dosh out of charging everyone straight away and making them wait a week or so before sending the SIM ???? Hmmmmmmmmmm........
