Oh boy!!! where do I start, I ordered simplicity £20pm on the 27th march, it tracked fine at £25 a couple of days later with quidco, it is now the 8th April and after many many phone calls to O2 to try to find out where my sim was(never arrived) also them ordering 2 more blank ones which also never arrived, a bill, and then yesterday them porting my number over... with NO sim still!!! I had teenagers at home whilst I was at work, no way for them to reach me as I had no orange service(old contract about to expire) and an O2 contract that didnt work as no sim, I drove home from work praying the sim would of come in the post but NOTHING!!!!
I had to drive 20 miles to the nearest O2 shop and get a sim and was told to wait up to 24 hours, I did this and after switching my mobile on and off numerous times 24 hours later I had full O2 signal but not able to send or receive any calls or texts.
I finally called O2 today and went mad and they told me that one of their posse had placed a bar on the account because of the gone astray sims and that she had now lifted it and the service should resume shortly.... for most of the day the phone flitted from being able to send and recieve texts but not making any calls, it has finally sorted itself out and is normal, but must of had the patience of a saint as I was about ready to blow my stack!!!!

As with some others on this forum, I was told by O2 to go into an O2 shop, and request a blank SIM, which they would then associate with my account.

I went into the local O2 shop, and within 30 minutes my SIM was up and running and now works fine.

I appreciate there is a system in place for those who have not recieved SIMs, but I question why I have to deal with the inconvenience and expense of visiting an o2 shop to collect what they were supposed to send as part of an expensive contract?

It is blatantly obvious that they have not sent out SIMs depsite claiming the contrary, which is a bit off. If they just said 'OK we lied, we didn't send it', then I would have a bit of a grumble, before getting in the car, and braving town when the bloody schools are on break.

Instead I wai t herewith false hope for the postie to arrive, only to be let down and left hanging, like the proverbial fat lass at the disco.

It will show on the system as completed and the agent will not know any difference.. they aren't lying to you..

I appreciate that the particular agent who responds to the email just types what it advises on the 'system', I do grasp the basics of how this whole thing works.

My point is that the SIMs have not been sent. I am not an isolated case

I would say the SIMs had actually been sent. Mine was dispatched on 31st, and had only just arrived today (5 working days later). It has been reported the others who ordered earlier than me thru quidco had also received their SIMs late.

Just an update I got my sim card today also.

I do notice that the 1st class part of the label has another label over it and its been sent Ukmail express parcels and mail ???

I guess thats why they have been taking there time to come as its a large letter.

Thanks to the TCB agent who is keeping us updated and I will be happy when mine changes to £200 instead of £25 now.
Do you have any idea when that will be it says sonething on my account about payable date 31.05.2010 and its been tracked as showing I got it on 31.03.2010, so I suppose I would have a claim if they said I did not order it in time.
