and what about the £200 cashback not tracking properly and people having to pay the full £25 pm for a year? Maybe the ones that cancelled actually did something sensible?
maybe your order tracked properly which is why you're not moaning or maybe you want to keep the contract even if it doesn't track, but for many others it is not like this.
I don't want to repeat myself too many times but.....when it comes to long term contracts or purchases you can't afford without it ....you are taking a risk using cashback sites A) You'll be waiting months and months for any money andThey never guarantee that the transaction will complete and there are many reasons why it might not.
Cashback should always been seen as a bonus, not a right, for all the people that know about Quidco and TCB, think of the thousands and thousands that don't! They will be paying £25 a month and think they've got a good deal, which to be honest, they have, 900 mins unlimited texts and data, happy dayz.
I never expect a cashback saving to work or rely on it but when it does i'm over the moon with the extra savings in the back pocket :j
When i've got enough money to buy something I check if that company are on Quidco and always chuffed if they are cause I might be able to save some unexpected $$$ in the long run.
In summary if you couldn't afford £25 a month then you should never have taken the contract in the first place.Hardcore moneysaver0 -

Just reading some of these posts I am wondering if it is possible to arrange poting your number to your new sim if you do not have it?
I would not do that Old Gold as then you would not be seen as taking out a new contract and then I guess you would not get the money.
You could however use a spare o2 sim card if you have any of the free ones then as long as it shows as tracked you and you know your new mobile number from the offer ask them to add it to that sim and you should be okay.
It's basically what they told me to do by going to the shop as I did not receive my sim until yesterday.

got my sim today - posted out on 1st April.
TCB has tracked at £25.
Question: If I transfer my number from o2 to o2, will it effect the TCB cashback for this offer ??0 -

I am tired of patronising voices advising that - 'Cash backs are a bonus not a right'
If a company makes an offer to me and I meet their conditions then that offer of a CASHBACK becomes a RIGH and an obligation on their part...NOT a Bonus!!0 -

. Those who took the same promotion with quidco is going thru the same thing.
I had an A&L cashback from quidco last year, and it tracked at £0.00 at first before being uplifted to £50 when paid.
And I myself can vouch that I saw the 'disclaimer' that it will initially track at £25 on TCB page (which has been removed as the promotion has ended). Perhaps people should read through the T&C before assuming and be so quick to accuse
That said, even £25 had not tracked on my TCB account, so I'm going to cancel on Monday. At the same £25 a month, I could get a new HTC Desire. For free! (albeit 600 minutes less)0 -

Thanks Davey. I transferred my number from o2 to o2 on the last cashback deal and the cashback came OK. This was through quidco though and I do not know if things have changed hence the question.0 -

I absolutely agree. The trouble is, you have NO comeback in English law. This all relies on the policing - or lack of it - by the cashback site. Some are better than others and some change their attitude over time. The advice to consider the deal without relying on getting the cashback is sound - though I DO rely on it and have done very well thank you by so doing. However, there is a risk and it is unfair when cashback sites promote merchants who don't subsequently cough up even when a transaction is tracked and can be identified (and sometimes even confirmed) and then let them get away with it. It is hardly fair to their members - expecially when such merchants are allowed to stay on the cashback sites. In my experience Topcashback does these things and there is no excuse or justification for it. UNfortunatley you have no case in law - so I understand fully both sides of the argument. I will never understand a cashback site's position when it acts that way though!0
