Called 202 just now and explained that the SIM arrived on Saturday. Tehy confirmed this and gave me about £7 credit due to the lateness. They also confimed that the 14 day timer for the cancellation started counting from Saturday. TCB and O2 now have until 23rd to sort the tracking out so fingers crossed!!!

    Cheers,
    Paul

Have left a message on their facebook page, they seem to be quite active on there replying etc. There was a post about the o2 deal with lots of good reviews so I kind of burst the bubble and said there were a lot of unhappy people over here with no guidance and not knowing what to do.

Will let you know if I get a response.

I just phoned before i cancelled and they said they would credit me for £9 and the 14 days start from the 30th the day i ordered i told them isnt it from the day i recieve the sim he said no, so i told him i want to speak to the manager and she said the same thing, the 14 days start from the day i took out the contract and not the day i recieved it so i cancelled today, she said if we do cancel it will be from the discresion of the manager so very risky if you want to wait them extra days for tracking....

I called them and they told em they couldnt cancel over the phone so I had to send my sim card back! I never even activated my sim card! I simply returned it!
They did not ask for my sim back either. I'd suggest you give them a call again.

I agree, even after I told them I have not received my SIM and wanted to cancel, they still checked whether it was within 14 days after dispatch. Two customer service rep did this (was transferred halfway). Everyone just be aware of O2's fickle mind and don't get caught surprised if they 'went back on their words'.

I cancelled my order today, order still not tracked from the 31st March and I'm not willing to take the risk of fighting for the £200 especially when TCB have put my claim 'on ice'.

When I called O2 and mentioned the delay in getting the sim, the lady I spoke to didn't apologise and just said I would get a final bill. That's really funny, get a bill for 2 weeks without a sim and no airtime use... I noticed they had set up a DD with the bank so I've cancelled that.

I THINK THIS HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE CASHBACK EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH. DON'T THEY SAY IF A DEAL LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT OFTEN IS.

I hope some people do manage to get the deal, perhaps I was just one of the unlucky ones, you might say why don't I just submit a claim and wait???? I have a missing claim from Currys which has been waiting for a retailer response since 03/11/08. I'm just not willing to take the risk this time, this is such a shame for TCB,MSE (who helped promote the deal) and of course O2 who have lost potentially new customers. I'm staying with Voda. Very dissapointed

Ordered 31st March. No conformation. Received first bill. No tracking. Contacted 02 by email after several days, informed would send 2nd sim and credit for days missing. Still no SIM's
Called today CS on 08706003009. Informed have to cancel within first 14 days of START of contract?
Instructed CS to cancel, but appears will be charged for first bill then will receive credit back to account. Also told to cut up and bin any SIMs received as cancelling would make them invalid. Not willing to take chance on eventual tracking but my choice.

    Hi Hasbeen,

Yes I was told the same would be charged and money taken out of my account then it would be credited back to me, are they crazy???

I've cancelled my DD, O2 can do what they want, but what a shame for everyone, it will make me very wary of future 'cashback' deals.

I was also stung with another 2 cashback deals where the Companies concerned went into administration, so me and cashbacks are just not happening! :-)

I was told by the CS to cancel the DD, although I have not seen it in my bank account yet.

Don't be disheartened, these deals are usually a hit-or-miss. I've gotten plenty of cashback over the past year (even from cashback mobile sites). Just take it as a 'bonus' :D
  • I signed up to tcb in December with the £150.00 deal, despite going through website, logging a claim, sending loads of "nudges" still no money. Seriously hacked off as I can't seem to make contact with anyone directly. Feel quite conned!! Any tips?

    Thanks for reading

That's what I've been saying. TCB really don't give a monkeys in reality and are quite happy to let merchants continue to make offers they have no intention of honouring. Most of the time you do get paid, BUT when you don't it's twice as unacceptable because the site which professes to be there for its members isn't there at all!
