I got 2 flights for £400 leaving 2 weeks later. Got a hotel sorted for a couple of nights on Orlando and then want to head for the coast. Any recommendations for hotels around St Petes, Clearwater or Sarasota would be appreciated.
Also, random question, but does anyone know if I'll be able to find Ugg mules/sandals easily in Orlando?0 -

How much time did you spend shopping around?
Presume that is non-stop direct flight?
Did the Airtours price change as time got closer, reason I ask is we are thinking about going in August for two weeks, two adults an 11 and 15 y/o
Hi,
Flights are via Belfast (and include meals) but there's not that much choice from Scotland so not too bothered about that, only started looking at Florida deals last Friday and booked on Tuesday so not sure how much Airtours prices change - I found the deal on Teletext holidays and contacted them direct - apparently they're really good for late deals.
There are decent deals with Flyglobespan from Glasgow but I read a lot of terrible reviews on the airline (all posted in last couple of months) so didn't want to risk them - still turned out to be about £200 more than the Airtours deal
https://www.travelcareonline.co.uk had pretty good deals too if you can talk them into it (link from the travel section of this website)
We've been told to hang back until the end when we go to pick up the hire car so that we might get an upgrade - but we're not all that bothered about the car, smallest one is fine or upgrade would be nice!
I'm only 5'3 so legroom really shouldn't be a problem!!
Three weeks to go!!:j0 -

Hi,
Can anyone give me an idea how much spending money to take with us (2 adults 25yrs) - board basis is room only - Thomas Cook deal is really good but kinda hoping not to spend £1000 out there - any tips on what a realistic amount to spend will be would be very welcome!
Haven't bought any tickets to theme parks yet because it seems they would be cheaper to buy when we get there, so this would have to be included in budget. Will be doing some shopping as well, suddenly £1000 between us doesn't seem so much...
Thanks!
- less than 3 wks to go... :j :j0 -
One of the best vlaue tickets is the 14 day utlimate, it is not cheap, but better vlaue that the usualy tikets if you want more than 7 days in the parks. This can onl be bought in the UK.0

Yes, you can get 1 day and 2 day tickets, the more days the better value they become. YOu can buy them on the gate, but the good dollar rate at the moment may mean it is a good idea to buy them soon.
This all may be of use and give the different ticket options and they are relaible.

I've quoted Amy's post as I have checked this website and they will sell the UK tickets, for the 7 day ticket x 2 this works out roughly £253 which is the cheapest I have found. However you can't buy these tickets in US you must buy before you leave although they will deliver to your hotel.
Next cheapest that I have been looking at is http://www.florida-magic-tickets.co.uk/
which is £144 for 7 day ticket x 2 is £288.
These are e-tickets which you exchange at customer services at a Disney Park, I have used this company before and it was pretty efficient.0 -
Thursday Hospital appointment cancelled -- so booked a quick fortnight to Florida on 7/6
Flights with TravelCityDirect £492 for both of us. Includes Economy car with all insurances.
Villa from the internet £250 a week. Only 3 bedrooms [only 2 of us]but south facing pool.
Its in Haines city so quite the way down the I.27, but as we spent the month of March in Kissimmee we will not be doing many Parks. We have tickets left from previous years, so perhaps just a couple of days.
So for less than £1000 we have two weeks away!! Quite pleased with myself.
Tip to new people going foer the first time, it can become habit forming, so look into buying the Disney passes that have no expiration date!! It can save a lot of money in the long run. Oh! this will be our 23 visit. And I am now a very old 62. This is only the second time we have flown charter and the 2nd time we have only gone for a fortnight.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
Just off the phone to http://www.floridaorlandotickets.net/ which is a free phone you'll find on the above page and because I had a problem ordering on the website, it insisted I put a state, I've put my order in on the phone.
Very easy and the usual very pleasant girl on the phone, they will email me the confirmation and the tickets will be delivered to my hotel for arrival. While I was entering the details I found a further 1% off discount on the website by inputting mickeymouse so it worked out at $538 with no charge for delivery to the hotel.0
