    does any1 know what the currency is for Canada? i'm off there and if i can use dollars then i'll get £2000 changed :)

    It's the Canadian dollar, current business rate is about CAD 2.14 to the £
    There are 1.08 Canadian dollars to the US dollar, and apart from border towns they will charge you to take them...

    Yep, but that's the buying rate.
    Selling rate is US$1.96/£ or CAN$2.1/£

    i've never actually used travellers cheques - so do i basically exhcnage £1000 minimum for these cheques which I can just use in the states anywhere?
