apologies if this has been added before, but parkforce are now using Parking Collection Services as a last resort.

they're sending out the 'the fine was £240, but we're willing to accept £X (a much lower amount, around the same price as the original invoice)'
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

Are they actually using the "f" word?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Seeking advice on the ticket I received on the 25/06/2011. I bought a two hour ticket in the Maritime Musuem Car Park, Falmouth. I then put the ticket in the car, got the two kids out and went shopping in the town. When I came back I was very surprised to notice a ticket on the windscreen. I saw the attendant and showed him the ticket which was still within the time limit and explained what had happened, he said I should appeal. I did this thinking in no way they would carry on with their actions. They have and I am now upto the £80 mark which I have refused to pay.

I have requested all the pictures that they have took and does not show where the ticket eventually landed. I know it says pay and display in the windscreen but if they would have looked hard enough they would have seen it pay and displayed on the seat! I am extremely angry with what was a genuine mistake and the fact that I did pay for the ticket.

What should I do next, ignore all further correspondance or continue to refuse to pay?
  • I will also post the letters received to date for others to look at, when I figure out how to do this.
  • Hi,

I have been advised to post in this thread.

I have received a PCN from a private firm called Inner Guard Security.

So far I have just received the PCN which can be seen here: http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff520/pranaypancholi/fine-front-1.png

Could this be added to the first post please. I will upload other letters/correspondence from them once I have received and post here.

    Thank you.

Hi all. The letters from CPP stopped and we've just received this one this morning. (Apologies for the lame editing - or lack thereof :p)

Letter one appears the same for TCP.

TCP now appear to be using Whyte & Co. Debt Recovery & Legal Services for subsequent letters instead of using AA Hutton LLP.

My friend has received this letter from Whyte & Co :

The front page of this thread needs updating to reflect this as being the second letter from TCP. Other MSE users have posted that there may be an additional one or two letters from Whyte & Co before the scam stops. If and when my friend receives them, I will post updates on this thread.

    HTHs.

I posted an earlier posting on this thread with regards TCP changing their second letter. MSE user Fergie76 has now confirmed that TCP are using Whyte & Co. Debt Recovery & Legal Services for an additional two letters as well. Fergie75 has provided copies of these letters at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3419713.

The TCP letters, which are detailed within the 1st posting on this thread, now require updating to reflect TCP's scamming activities.

Many thanks to Fergie76 for clarifying.

  • Hello,

Please help. I have reiceved all the letters in order, as per your orignal thread from Excel parking. But I am worried now as the letter I have recieved from Roxburge debt collectors is worded differently.

I have taken advice from this website and others, (one specifically set up against this particular company) and they all advise not to worry and ignore the letters as they are highly unlikely to take court action. But at the bottom of their letter they have stated
We are fully aware of anecdotal information being presented via the internet and on various websites and you may well feel that this guidance is worth following. We strongly urge you to seek independant legal advice rather than rely on these opinions, and we would respectivly suggest that you refer to the Civil Procedure Rules part 31*, and more specifically parts 31.16 and 31.17.

Is this more scare tatics?? or do i have to pay the £142 charge??? Am I now breaking the Law?? :(

Unfortunalty as i am new i am unable to post a copy of the document. But is is uploaded on photobucket so i can provide the details if you wish to see it.

(I paid for 1 hour, and returned to my car and paid for another ticket, admittedly there is a 3 minute gap from the expiry of the first ticket and the start of the second. This company has not acknowledged that I bought another ticket, as the car park is not maned and the only way of policing the car park is by the cameras recording when you enter and exit the car park. I left before the sencond ticke expired, so i still paid for the 2hrs and stayed for 1hr 50mins)

Thank you in advance for your help.
