Cant post the form because of new user

If it's from a private parking company then you don't have to pay it. Also it's not a "fine" it's an unenforceable invoice.

Sorry for the absence folks, lots happening at work (good stuff :D) but the good news is I've answered and processed 15 PMs and will in the next few days clear the backlog of posts on this thread. :A

Thanks to those who have sent me links, we have added three new parking companies to our list and there are other updates to existing entries. I'm sure there'll be a few more by the time I've looked through the 140 or so posts on this thread :rotfl:

Thanks to the regulars for helping newbies out, it is appreciated :)

If you look in the first post there are LOADS of letters from DRP but listed under other pPCs perhaps. Have another look, the PPCs sometimes change their letters, so what?

Please start your own thread if you are still unsure that it is OK to ignore this piece of trash - but only post a new thread after checking the letters a bit more and after reading 'welcome, please read before posting' with it's full info and Watchdog link. Surely you will NOT be 'going ahead and paying this scam! :)

I cannot answer further as this isn't a discussion thread; this is in the wrong place.

Please no more new queries on this thread.

I think I will send you the letters we send and the CCJ orders that follow - I mean in the interest of fairness you would put them up .. wouldnt you ?

    I cant see a problem!
  • Hi,
Ive been given a "Parking charge ticket" in which I have ignored to which further final letters where sent, this then followed by a debt collecting agency (baliffs) which I also have ignored. I have now recieved letters and final warnings from thier solicitors (Graham White) which say that if I dont respond within 14 days they intend to seek my clients istructions to apply for an 'APPLICATION TO THE COURT UNDER CIVIL PROCEDURAL RULES 31.16 - DISCLLOSURE BEFORE PROCEEDINGS START' Just wondering if you can help me on this matter and what to do as all sound official. Although having researched the company (UK Parking Patrol Office) on the internet looks as tho the general feeling is to ignore.

Welcome to MSE. The words 'parking charge notice' are enough. IGNORE IT ALL. Their letters are speculative harrassment, pure drivel. And a debt collector is NOT the same as a bailiff. And Graham White letters don't come from a Solicitor, they come from Roxburghe the debt collector!

Did you realise there is a whole, very busy forum board here to read and start a new thread on :):

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.php?f=163

Look how very common threads about private parking companies (PPCs) are! Start a new thread if you need it, but personally I think the letters in this thread and the Watchdog video in the sticky thread 'welcome, please read before posting' and all the current 'help I got a fake PCN' threads with the same old 'IGNORE!' replies every single day are enough to spread the message.

As above, all this discussion is in the wrong place.

No replies here please unless posting new pictures of letter-chains which is what this thread is for!

  • I would like to express my gratitude for all the advice that has been posted here. My partner was issued with a 40.00 fine by Excel Parking after she forgot to display her ticket after purchase. The attendant said just write to them with copies of the ticket / parking charge notice and it shouldn't be a problem... If only I knew then what I know now!

An appeal letter was duly despatched and it was only then that I started doing a little research, which brought me here. My problem was that I feared my partner would scare and pay. But I printed out all the letters we were / are going to receive in advance (from this thread) and now when each one arrives we have a laugh and decide which new design of paper plane we'll turn it into this time.

Excel, of course, have no 'appeal' process, and the car park monkey was just helping them along, getting my partner to send her address so they wouldn't have to pay DVLA 2.50 to get it.

These letters... it's all done by computer so don't take it personally when you get them, and whatever you do - no matter how tempting - never reply (they probably never read them apart from a desk monkey giving it a cursory glance). It then goes to Roxburghe - a shoddy, dubious debt collection agency - and then to a pretend solicitors called 'Graham White' (who are actually Roxburghe too).

The parking 'charge' notice is unenforceable and thus they will never take you to court. Ignore the letters. Use as loo paper (although most loo paper is better quality than what they send out).

Anybody being asked for money by these people: worry not, sleep well, and dream of the day when these bandits are put out of business as more and more people (like me) learn just how legally dubious their activities are and refuse to be cowed by their mail-merged threats.

Welcome to MSE. Could you please start your own thread as this one is just for listing the various letters sent out by private parking companies.
