Apoca are contracted by Hackney to handle their parking tickets, so do not ignore this one.

Just to reassure newbies - my son got two tickets in quick succession last year whilst driving my wife's car. We stuck it out and ignored the threats and eventually the mail stopped. It is stressful though and only the support of this site got me through. To put a different slant on things I would like to praise Tesco in Truro for their approach to parking misdemeanours. My daughter recently received a letter from them politely pointing out that on two recent occasions her car had been parked for more than the allowed two hours in their car park. The wording was sympathetic about the first demeanour and understanding of the second but made it clear that if a third violation of their rules occurred then they would have to issue a Penalty Charge. It transpired she had looked upon Tesco as a free parking place when in town and as such I would support Tesco if they had "fined" her. A quick word from me and she has altered her behaviour. Well done Tesco for showing how it should be done.0

Thanks for letting us know
In regards to your daughter, yes she's been naughty, but understand these are not penalties or fines, tesco could be in serious trouble as they are saying they or their agents have authority like the council or police, to put it bluntly - they don't !Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I have received the full set of letters from Excel/Roxburghe/Graham White etc. and have just received a text as follows:

Hi this is my first post but decided I had to as this site has helped me a lot. My daughter got 2 parking tickets in the same place within an hour of each other. It was an old shop forcourt that had no signs or means of payment. Next day Vehicle Control services put up signs 10 feet off the ground and slapped the tickets on the car. I am the owner so I got the payment reminder. After reading up about it on sites like this I have totally ignored it. I have had letters from Roxbough and Graham White and yesterday they phoned up (dont know how they got my number). My wife answerd and said I was not In. I will not speak to them or have any contact with them. I am sick and tired of people trying to scam money out of hard working people. Don't pay them they can go to hell.0

Protection from Harassment Act complaint springs to mind and contact the OfT.
Roxburghe/Graham White are pathetic and desperate - but they do overstep the mark.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That's the idea. The business model of all PPCs is "lets frighten people into paying up, when actually they don't have to."What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Hi there
how do you stop the letters coming. I have now had several "final warning letter" and each time the fine goes up. I am concerned it will soon escalate out of control0 -

You can't. What do you mean by "escalating out of control"?. Are you worried that there will be so much junk-mail from them that you won't be able to open your front door for the stuff? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
