  • HELP, I recieved a parking contravention enforcement notice for £120 from Civil Enforcement Ltd and only have 14 days to pay. The only explanation is ' in accordance with the signage' however not only was there no signs but i was in a disabled bay displaying a disabled badge so really can not understand why. There is no contact details on the letter apart from where to send the money!! I was parked at the Centry Retail Park in Watford, Herts. Please does anyone have any advice on what i should do or who i can contact for advice.

If you still have any questions after reading up on this generic scam then could you please start your own thread, as this one is just to list the various letter chains received from PPCs. Thanks!

Read the info and stickies here (just don't bother to read the Park Right thread as that's about real PCNs; you'll be pleased to know that yours is a fake one from a private company):

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

The top stickies also include a link to Watchdog a few months ago, with a solicitor showing Anne Robinson how to make a paper aeroplane from a PPC bogus PCN (for it is bogus).

You do not need to contact anyone except to complain in writing to the retail Park about their agents harassing disabled people. Just ignore Civil Enforcement Ltd, do not write to them at all. DO NOT PAY.

Do not reply on this thread please.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Town and City Parking.

Mum has already received the first 3 letter detailed in post 1 but has now received a fourth - is this usual for Town and City?

She has made no contact with them thanks to the advice on here.

This one is headed URGENT but that is obviously only in their opinion.

Let them issue court proceedings if they feel it's so urgent. They won't though, because they know they'll get a good hiding from the Judge as has happened with other PPCs who thought they could manipulate the justice system to legitimise their respective scams.

Much clearer images of Town & City's new-style tickets and A A Hutton threatograms posted on here:

HTH, the ones on the first post are too small and unreadable.

Out of interest Kev, did you contact them at all? I am wondering how they determined you were the driver in letter 3 of the list above.

    Thanks
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    Nope no contact whatsoever.

As other people note, its more the assumption that you were driver as it was your car rather than any hard facts or legal standing....
