What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Hi, I've received a [STRIKE]penalty[/STRIKE] charge notice (they cross out the word 'penalty' on every notice for some reason) from EPM on a stretch of road that appears to have no restrictions. I have contested it with evidence and a letter and they have come back with a slightly threatening sounding letter which acknowledges the 'extenuating circumstances' (their words) but then dismisses them and orders me to pay anyway with sentances like 'Our appeal process is full and final. There is no second level of appeal. Regrettably we are unable to issue further correspondance regarding this matter either directly with you or any third party' and ultimately they still want me to pay.
Do I have to? Do they have much say if I don't, legally. I've read up on them and they seem pretty unscrupulous in their dealings and their name alone is a joke probably purposefully chosen.
What should I do as they're not on this list...0 -

Someone I talked to today at uni said they supposedly sent round their debt collectors to someone who didn't pay recently, would ignoring them be such a good idea? I realise I can just tell the debt collectors to go away too aslong as they don't have a court order. Ideally I would rather they didn't take me to court incase I somehow lose but I've paid them £60 once before for a parking offence (which was deserved so fair enough(even if the price was a bit steep at a uni)) and i'd rather not pay again as this one doesn't seem fair.
Ignoring them does sound preferable though!0 -

This isn't a discussion thread nor for new cases, so these last posts will be moved to a new thread. Did you not see that we have a whole board for new cases here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163
Have a read of as many threads on that first page as it takes till you realise that you should NEVER have paid that first charge, it was not 'fair enough' to pay that demand! It was like paying a phishing emailer, you fell for it I am afraid. Don't fall for their threats again. Ignore them, nothing happens at all.
On the link you'll find a Watchdog link and pics of the debt collector letters. They do NOT and cannot send the boys round to take possessions/car, debt collectors are NOT bailiffs (different animal entirely).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

UKCPS ticket has been added to the first post. I've also archived posts over a couple of weeks oldHedgehogGirl wrote: »Paper chain so far from "Premier Park Ltd (Exeter)"

First letter:
Sorry - I'm a newuser so MSE won't let me upload links in my first posting, hence the insertion of -dot-. Could you edit it accordingly please Crabman? PP claimed that details would be passed to a Collection Agency who will 'commence proceedings' but surprise surprise ....
A second letter has just arrived [but I haven't scanned it in yet].
Thanks,
HedgehogGirl
Thanks very much for uploading (also thanks to trisontana for posting the active link on your behalf) but could you please edit out the name title on your letter and also their reference to the location?
I wouldn't want anyone to identify who has uploaded the letter. Don't forget to delete the image from tinypic.
Same goes for your second letter when you have a chance to upload it.0 -

Its a private parking company lurking about NHS trusts in England, so it makes little difference, just ignore them completely and utterly.
Also you are posting in the wrong thread to ask this, this will be moved shortly.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Thankyou so so much for this! was so upset today when i got one pf these from Parking eye. Gosh thankyou so much. cant thankyou enough0

I suggest any correspondence from CPS midlands you simply reply with a message along the lines of "Seeig as you cannot even form your own company but instead stole half the contracts from an exsisting company (name Car Park Solutions) that you cease and desist.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
