Hello all, Nice forum, I am a newbie. I wish I found this site before I got myself into so much debt. Still feel a little ashamed but I am doing me best. Just out of interest I was watching the programe last night called "bank Robbery" on 2 last night about reclaiming bank charges, I am currently on a dmp and was wondering if I ask to see my previous bank charges whether the bank will put my interest back up again? They have currently stopped all interest charges, but I feel that all the previous charges may have resulted in the spiralling out of control.0

Bank First Direct
Amount claimed £627
Amount refunded £627
Sent one letter and got return letter with the usual ...
"fees are fair blah, blah, blah but won't go to court so here's the lot" - (Didn't go for the interest) I'm really pleased - going after the Woolwich next.
Thank you so much MSE Martin and everyone here - this has really lifted my spirits.

Hiya, I'm a newbee here.
Please can someone help me.
I have not used my Natwest bank account for at least 3 years. Yesterday I received a letter from Natwest (the first correspondence for 3 years) stating that I owed £1950.96.
The account was £10 in debt when last used.
I rang today and they said it was interest and service charges and that it had to be paid within 28 days or they would go legal.
Surely they should be sending me statements every month if I owed money.
Is this legal??
Thank you

Hello Everyone
After successfully winning against Halifax last week, I'm now due to start Moneyclaim for HSBC.
Does anyone know the address I should put for papers to be served?
Thanks,

Hi
I have just read through the website and it sounds a great idea to me, but i am worried i do have other accounts but the bank i want to reclaim is LloydsTSB and on this account i have an overdraft of £1150.00 which always goes over normally for one or two days before more money goes in and the bank charges make it go over every month which means more charges for the following month so an never ending situation. If the bank did close my account there is no way i could afford to repay this money.would i have to?? has anyone been in this situation please help..
Thanks.0 -

Has anyone had any joy with the Royal Bank of Scotland? I'e just sent my first letter requesting statements off this morning...fingers crossed!
I'm also really worried as I have an outstanding loan and overdraft with them also. If I end up having to threaten legal action, is there any way they can demand immediate payment of my loan and overdraft?
Thanks!
please let me know if you find out
Thanks.:beer:0 -

What happens at your current account has nothing to do with the loan.0 -
