  • Hey

Has anyone had any joy with the Royal Bank of Scotland? I'e just sent my first letter requesting statements off this morning...fingers crossed!

I'm also really worried as I have an outstanding loan and overdraft with them also. If I end up having to threaten legal action, is there any way they can demand immediate payment of my loan and overdraft?

    Thanks!
  • I am just about to start a claim against HSBC for £3677.00, I am just about to send off my first letter registered post and would like to know if I need to send out the second letter, on the the second letter templates it has a paragraph where you need to put in a name of a court, If it gets to this stage I am going to use Moneyclaim online and would like to know whether I still put my local court in here or something else.

I have sent off the first letter to HSBC to reclaim my bank charges buthav not yet had a reply. the letter was sent 21/11/06. should I now send the second letter or do I wait a little longer. Didn't send the letter recorded.

I'd send it off now! 14 days is up for me tomorrow (letter sent 30th November) and I'm going to send the second letter out if I don't hear from them by tomorrow.
  • Hi there,
I am keen to try and reclaim my bank charges - I have been constantly overdrawn for years. However my concern is that I bank with NatWest and also have a large loan with them. If I follow this course of action, will it effect the loan I have with them - which is rather large.
    I hope you can help.
    Thanks

You can either leave out the bit about which court or put in your local court if you know the name.
  • For the two users with loans with the same bank, these are different agreements from your bank accounts so they shouldn't ask for this to be paid.
  • I am about to lodge a claim with HSBC for £2785. If I post today recorded giving them 14 days to respond, is it 14 working days or 14 straight days? Do I take xmas into consideration?

    Thanks

  • hi again,
i am just in the process of writing my second letter to threaten the bank with court proceedigs. Do I put the name of my local court in the space where it asks for name of court
  • First Direct
    £55
They will refund my £55 by my next statement date

Basically all I did was write a letter (using the template on this site). I'd gone over my overdraft limit for the first time, and only for a couple of days.

Got a letter back about a week later saying they would refund all charges, but that if I wanted to discuss increasing my overdraft to call them.

Soooo glad i bothered to write the letter though, just on the principle of it!
