    WHHOOOOHOOO!!! :T

After my 3rd templete letter i was offered a goodwill payment of £100. I kindly thanked them for this but said it wasn't good enough, but if they offered me £150 i would, without prejudice accpet and drop any further claim...Just recieved the letter today from the very busy;) James Ball saying that:
"i was sorry to hear that you didn't consider our offer of goodwill of £100 as acceptable. I have discussed your compalint with my manager, who, exceptionally,;) has agreed to to increase our goodwill gesture to £150...."

    :T :j  SUCSESS!!

Quidco to date = £1224 cashback
  • Just to let you know..Started the campaign in January for 6 years statements. Lots of correspondence and an early pitiful offering forced into my account...Despite dragging their heels 10 days before the hearing date they have settled just £ 600 short of my £ 5000 claim inc interest.!
A super friendly and helpful Abbey member of staff called me and offered settlement without argument. They also insisted my account would not be closed as a result of this situation. They even guaranteed to keep my overdraft!

Good luck and dont lose heart !

sent letter reguarding statments 19 march, got them a couple of days later. sent first letter to halifax 25 march, a had standard 8 week to "look in to " the claim letter back from them a few days later. waited a couple of weeks to chase up, then on 15 may had a letter to say that the charges are fair. phoned them on the same day saying going to started court case, but i messed up on the mcol website when posting the claim and had to cancel a few days later ( they were very helpful and i got my money back via personal cheque). then on the 23 may checked bank account about midday and they had put £916 in my account. when i got home from work there was a letter from halifax saying this was a goodwill gestue. phoning them back i told them that this was not good enough, then they offered me the full amount straight away. what a great result . many thanks to martin and his team making the british empire great again.
