I got my statements for my Natwest Accounts :T
When I added up all the charges I got a shock :eek:
Account 1 = £2,462.21 (With Interest = £2,681.94)
Account 2 = £1,033.00 (With Interest = £1,119.28)
Total = £3,495.21 (With Interest = £3,801.22)
Now to the scary part, do I send off the letter to request the money back, I could really do with the money right now as I recently lost my job.....
What do you think !

If you contact Halifax and ask for a list of all charges for the last 6 years they are obliged to send it to you, you then have to put it onto a spreadsheet at then send it with the next letter in the long line. All this is on the wonderful website. Good luck !0

can they charge you £5 PER statement for a CREDIT CARD?
its going to cost up to £200 just to get the statements
they said its £5 for 6 years on a current account but £5 per statement on a credit card, anyone else having this problem?0 -
received a whole stack of bank statements this morning from natwest (no letter or anything... just the statements). spent an hour looking through them and i have £940 of charges in the last 6 years and i received all those charges during my years at university
the most shocking one's were £150 of charges in the space of 8 days because my standing orders of £2 to oxfam, £4 to cancer research and £3.50 to action for the blind didn't go through :eek:
so now it's time to work out the interest...Fatcheese.co.uk - £1345.27 (Joined April 2009)

If you ask for past statements they are quite likely to tell you this is the charge for a statement. You shouldn't be asking for statements but a list of all charges for the dates required, this may then come in the form of statements or a list.0 -

Has anyone got any ideas on the above? The 2 posts above my original were also asking pretty much the same thing so any help would be of multiple use.
Cheers gain.
You have to have a copy of all the details you have filed for your claim ready to take to court as it is you who is taking the bank to court, then you wait to see what the bank will do within the time scale specified.0 -
Hi i'm a newbie to this forum. I found this site a few days ago (yipee). I ecently had yet another charge from my bank (Natwest), HORRIBLE, which has kicked me into action. My hurdle at the moment is that i have two accounts with Natwest and have paid charges on both accounts. When i send of for a list of all charges, do i send a seperate letter and £10 for each account or can i ask for both accounts in the same letter and only pay one lot of £10? Anybody? Please?0

On your first letter, you are requesting all of the information Natwest is holding on you. Include both your account numbers on the one letter. One letter, and one £10 charge is enough for both accounts. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
