i got a letter today offering FULL payment £3482.29.
couldnt believe it. though i was in for a long wait. i dont want to sound greedy but i wasnt totally happy as i had £270 of charges to go on from charges they levied after i started the claim. so i phoned them and spoke to a WONDERFUL lady called Katherine Ashton( i wish everyone at barclays was as nice as her) i asked her what they intended to do about the other charges and without hesitation she said "thats not a problem sir we can just add them on to the total" i was gob smacked..

I sent my first letter on 5th October so it took a long time but got there in the end

After a brief exchange of letters,Halifax offered me £569 saying if I didn't want to accept it I was to call them.I did but stupidly didn't put it in writing.The money then appeared in my account (they claimed not to have received my phone call).I wrote them a snotty letter stating that my bnline claim for the remainder of the cash was still ongoing and this morning they settled up in full!!!

Words cannot express my gratitude Martin I am a single parent and every penny counts.Thank you so very much!

They sent letters of all 3 charges after there computers went down the weekend. All done on the telephoned after sometime of informing them of my rights they refunded the amount plus £75 for my trouble.

Claimed £1190.60-including interest-from HSBC on 24th february,sent second letter and a couple of e-mails via interactive banking service (who ALWAYS got back to me within 24hours),got an offer of £898 on Saturday,which I accepted.I know I could push for the lot,but it`s money I thought I`d never see again and it`s enough to take my 3 kids on holiday,so Im happy.Thanks to all here-I wouldnt have done it without you,Martin-you`re an angel!:money: :T

Hi Everyone,
Stick with it they really do pay up. They put £7521.00 into my account yesterday, this is the full amount minus interest.
Sent initial letter asking for charges back 19th February,
2nd letter threatening court 6th March, had no reply or acknowledgement to either,
phoned on 19th March and told an offer letter would be sent out by end of month, didn't believe them as I had not received anything so far,
started MCOL on 19th March,
offer letter arrived 23rd March, I signed and returned it the same day,
I phoned on 4th April to find out how much longer and they didn't have anything logged to my account to say I had returned acceptance letter, so sent it again by Special Delivery.
Funds in account 11th April.
I will stop the MCOL now!!! Wouldn't do it until money was in my account.

The story:Requested refund end of January. They offered me £600 by telephone, which I declined. Asked me how much I would accept to which I told them I would settle at £1500. It was paid into my account within the week! No problems with my account or any restricted use so far. I do wonder if I'd held out for the full amount whether or not I'd have gotten it.

My partner wasnt as lucky as Abbey have said as they had refunded charges in the past on a goodwill basis, they wouldn't do it again. We are going to contest this!!
